NO ONE, EVER, in my opinion...
has expressed as much raw emotion from an instrument without the aid of a single lyric.
Not close, not a long time ago, not ever.
Pure emotion and ballistic dynamics.
Simply, the best.
Fight me.
And the very end, is pure * you rock n roll.
Thanks Ed.

When I think emotion and guitar I go to the great Paul Kossoff:

Solo starts around 1:39 in.

This is my post for guitars and ANZAC day all in one. It's hard to believe that Jeff Beck is getting that sound from a guitar. It sounds more like someone playing a saw. Olivia Safe is remarkable on vocals!

Joanna Connor's from her great album "4801 South Indiana Avenue". A big lady with a big sound.

Stefan Hauk. The big boy is an incredibly good guitarist. Plenty of stuff on YouTube. The different styles of songs here will give you an idea of how talented he is.

Wow very good!

RIP Bernie Marsden
Not well known outside of guitar circles but a key part of the original Whitesnake, when it was a bluesy hard rock band. Great player, iconic guitar, and from his interviews a really great guy.

The original Here I Go Again which Bernie wrote the music of. No vids of it with Bernie. He left after recording the LP.

I find myself coming back to Roy Clark and Glen Campbell a lot these days.

Roy's Malagueña, especially from The Odd Couple, will always be my favourites.

I miss the TV guitar star of the 60's and 70's.
