Benazir Bhutto?Very saddening, Japan would be gutted and many around the world.
These occur every few years (e.g. Haiti recently) but I think the last time such a prominent political leader (incumbent or recent) on the global stage was assassinated like this was maybe Yitzhak Rabin in 1995, and I was a little kid barely following the news cycle then. So on this scale it feels quite unique to my lived experience.
