Coronavirus 2020 / Worldwide (Stats live update in OP) Part 8: This Thread is for Reasonable ON TOPIC Discussion

How is it all a hoax? There are plenty of videos you can watch on youtube about the strain covid was putting on ICU's worldwide if you want an understanding just how damaging covid was. You sound like you and your family have been lucky so far but that sample size is way too small to be drawing conclusions or calling things a hoax.
I think you will find that if patients were treated early within the first 48hours of getting covid that hardly anyone would have ended up in hospital. Unfortunately therapeutics were discredited and in some countries banned so that patients had no options for early treatment other than patacetamol. Once in hospital Remdesivir was used to treat patients which is deadly. You may want to also look into the bonuses that hospitals in the US where given when a patient tested positive from covid, where treated with remdesivir and when they died from covid.

A few things about your arguments (some of which have already been done to death)

1. Covid suffers often would require hospitalisation until days 5 - 7 when they would start to crash (and fast). It would not have been feasible to be treating everyone 2 days into their infection even with therapeutics that were never proven to be effective. They also didn't have access to the covid specific antivirals that we have today.

2. The pandemic happened all over the world, not just the US that has a terrible health system based on greed. Most European countries experienced extremely high death tolls in population's that are not afraid to go to hospitals in fear of being bankrupted.

And after three years of strident denials from The Authorities, the US Senate releases a report saying everything points to it being lab-originated.
REALLY? Ya gotta link, dude.

US gain-of-function research deemed too dangerous to continue and by sheer coincidence the NIH and USAID fund the research to continue in Wuhan.

It wasn't gain of function research, from what I'm told.

This work is standard molecular biology. It happens every time they study a virus, gene, or protein.

They used an existing spike protein, a safer method than making mutations.

They did not create anything new or more lethal.

"Gain of function is if the virus got MUCH MORE DEADLY than anything we've seen before, or if we created something completely new."

Forbes article:

This is pointed out in the video above as just bad journalism from someone who doesn't understand the science.

Or so I'm told.
We get told a lot of stuff by all sorts of people ;)

Interesting read, makes some spurious conclusions regarding vaccines, and doesn't appear to mention anything gain-of-function related.

It doesn't even discount the natural origin. It just says we haven't pinned it down exactly yet.

Meanwhile statistical analysis shows the centre of the earliest cases being the markets, not the lab which is about as far from the markets as Werribee is from the centre of Melbourne.

From that linked Senate report:

c. Problems with the Natural Zoonotic Hypothesis

Based on precedent and genomics, the most likely scenario for a zoonotic origin of the COVID-19 pandemic is that SARS-CoV-2 crossed over the species barrier from an intermediate host to humans.75 However, the available evidence is also consistent, perhaps more so, with a direct bat-to-human spillover. Both scenarios remain plausible and, in the absence of additional information, should be considered equally valid hypotheses.76 However, nearly three years after the COVID-19 pandemic began, critical evidence that would prove that the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 and resulting COVID-19 pandemic was caused by a natural zoonotic spillover is missing.

It's kind of like there are journos out there who think that as soon as a virus sample hits the lab, it no longer exists in the wild. Therefore any infections after that have to be from the lab.

Of course it exists in the wild. Viruses that exist in the wild are not generally any problem to human beings. The problem exists when gain of function research turns the virus into a bioweapon. There is published evidence that gain of function has been going on for decades. It's also interesting that the virus and it's vaccine was patented years before the virus even existed.

I'm yet to see a source for this that wasn't an incredibly dumb take on information.

I'd love to see your source for this claim, so we can decide if it's yet another dumb take on the same information, or if it's genuinely valid.

Pffft, bullshit.

How does one patent a vaccine that does not exist? It took billions of dollars and several months for a number of different companies to come up with a number of vaccines, all slightly different and all with different levels of efficacy.

But yeah, the vaccine was patented before the virus existed. The virus too apparently.😂

You’re a moron.

An interesting legal precedent was set in the NSW personal injury commission this week.

'Court documents show Dawking was diagnosed with acute stress reactions/disorder by a psychologist in October last year as a result of Covid-related restrictions and the vaccine mandate,'

' a subsequent psychiatric assessment in December 2021, after the vaccine mandate had come into effect, found Dawking was suffering from “adjustment disorder with anxious distress” and was unable to work.'

I can send you the patents if you wish.

Go on then. Show us the patent for Covid19 and it's vaccine before Covid19 even existed.

I already read the info when a friend mentioned this.

It's not a patent for Covid-19 or a vaccine for same.

Whoever told you this did not read it correctly. Which is fine, but don't then make such big claims when you don't know what you're looking at and don't get proper help to understand it.

From one of Crypt's links above:

A viral video that has been posted and deleted from YouTube and other social media platforms makes the claim that old virus patents show the novel coronavirus dates back to at least 2006. These claims falsely confuse the patents for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) with COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus. SARS is also part of the coronavirus family, but it stems from a different coronavirus strain and is a different disease to COVID-19.

The cruise ticket cancellation, holiday postponement rates, and near future booking numbers will probably go thru the roof and floor with this announcement.

Cruises are for the white trash of society.

Get covid on one of these floating petrie dishes then you only have yourself to blame.

I would say the husband is more of a danger to people being over the BAC limit than the police not wearing masks. FiZ1OAoUoAAq76E.jpeg
