Too late for them just shows how inept we are. Shuey could have went years beforehand. This form of training didnt invent itself in 2024....
Revisionism.

Neither had significant injury history(other than NN's ACLs) prior to the introduction of the soft cap. In fact, the club as a whole never had this problem until the past couple of years.

Club is also beholden to the WAFC, so it's not like they can just spend the soft-cap tax willy-nilly either, before you say that they could.

Well hardly the same but just as a example, I broke my back and when I did break my back, i worked on my leg strength in my rehab alot and yes that included my hamstrings. You never just focus on the problem area and only that problem area. Rehab doesnt work that way
There's 'rehab' and there's seeing a 'specialist'.

They are absolutely not the same thing.

The threads have all gone to

I'm out. Well done

This actually isn’t true.

Whatever changes Yeo has made has allowed him to do a complete pre-season, first time in 5 years by his own admission- which has allowed him to rebuild his base fitness and resilience.

He has suffered what has been described as a very minor groin strain.

However, he has a full pre season of work behind him that will hold him in good stead, when and if he does suffer the odd strain.

That’s very different to 2021-23.
No its not. He was given the rest and rehab required to do a preseason and still broke down 7 games in. Nothing will change...watch. he will break down again and again and again

All players get soft tissue injuries at some stage.

Yeo got a small strain, after putting in a full pre season. Something he hasn’t done in 5 years. Are you disputing that? Because they’re his own words.

Previously Yeo wasn’t even able to do the work in pre-season to build the required fitness base. He did this year, and his form is testament to that.

The fact he got a tiny strain doesn’t mean the trip hasn’t been successful. They didn’t make him a cyborg immune to soft tissue injuries.

What a catastrophising bed wetter you are.

Too many of your ilk around here.

Keep calm and keep pushing on campaigners.

New attitude as a change says it all.... You cant even define the changes made so just create some buzz word.

New CEO and New List manager yes. Actual cultural changes. Umm id go watch the first half effort last week and let you come back to me on that one
You are a dead set liability to this board.
Give yourself an uppercut

Cant win with facts can you?

Biggest club in the land and same 20 people posting... Even North Melbourne outpost us. Its not because of these imaginary reasons. Its because you shout down anyone who disagrees with you and bully them off the board really. You derail threads with mindless potshots as opposed to being willing to accept someone having a alternate viewpoint

Id suggest like improving and letting other people have opposing opinions as opposded to crying about it? Showing some maturity never hurt anyone

Barring monumental upsets in both of the next two weeks we will have pick 3 in the MSD. Upside is likely to be the biggest consideration but with our expected delistings positional need is hopefully also considered. I still think in order we should take if available:
  1. Ben Hopkins 18 190cm Dandenong HBF
  2. Noah Howes 18 196cm Sth Adelaide KPF
  3. Will McLachlan 19 185cm Geelong HFF
I expect Noah Howes to be taken by one of North or Richmond ahead of us but he could be available. Other players possibly in the conversation are:
  1. Wil Patton 19 192cm West Adelaide HBF
  2. Jacob Blight 22 196cm Peel KPD
  3. Jasper Scaife 19 197cm West Perth KPF
  4. Joe Pike 19 204cm Geelong Ruck
  5. Jack Hutchinson 22 190cm C’Wood HFF
There’s also a number of mids and mid/fwds that went undrafted last year that are a chance to be selected by other teams (and us if we’re set on taking a mid):

Tarkyn O’Leary 18 178cm Sandringham
Kade De La Rue 18 183cm Dandenong
Dayten Uerata 18 185cm Bendigo
Oskar Smartt 18 180cm Bendigo

In saying all this my opinion counts for SFA and we’ll probably take Trey Ruscoe.
Jackson Hateley from essendon VFL .

He is an inside mid only 23 and playing well . Take some pressure of our young guys and allow sheed to never attend a centre bounce again

Todd says no PP application, I suspect the AFL has simply told them that they won’t be getting one.

They probably also told them that Zuurhar is band 1 compo regardless of contract.
Technically they already had priority picks this year. The AFL gave them a bunch of first rounders for 2024 and said they could be revoked if the club did better (lol) so they were best off trading them in 2023 draft (which they did).

I was interested in him end of last season but haven’t followed him closely this year. If we’re looking for a plug and play he’d be on the radar too. Obviously depends on drafting priorities.

BC he broke down with another groin injury. I'm not defending the club, all I'm saying is that the guru specialists players are accessing overseas don't do anything different to a lot of their peers in this country. But the take home you should get round your head is the soft cap can't reward the level of expertise that is available in the Aussie market for physio/rehab and as such a lot have left the industry BC they can earn much more coin in the real world.

So they leave the AFL, to become the experts AFL clubs send their difficult cases to?

Jagga "The Lone Ranger" Smith continues to play exceptional football in a team that routinely coughs up big losses. His defensive efforts were an improvement on last week, and his stoppage craft was as elite as always as he sliced through congestion with decisive and attacking intent. His kicking was his typical mixed bag, starting off with some nice spot up targets hit and then seeming to degenerate at the game went on.
