A-League Men Round 26 - Its the final round of the season and we say goodbye to the legend Leigh Broxham an amazing career playing all his 384 league games with Melbourne Victory which includes 4 Championships 3 Premierships and 2 Australia Cups what a man! Not bad for someone who started out as the kit man at the club. Hopefully a statue right next to Archie Thompsons and Kevin Muscats is to be erected of him one day outside AAMI Park. A tribute to the man by three of his most influential coaches is posted below. All eyes will be on the Premiers Plate race on Saturday evening firstly to the F3 Derby Mariners need a win or at least a draw to stay in the race for the Premiers Plate a loss to the Jets and it may be all over even with a game in hand. For the Nix they simply need to win to keep the race alive A win and the Premiers Plate could be theirs if the Jets can do them a favor otherwise we wait for the Mariners catch up match against Adelaide on Wednesday night. A loss or a draw and it will be over if the Mariners win the F3 derby hope I got that right, The ladder is posted below for all to work out.

Some great battles this weekend.

Premiers plate - CCM looking to start a run with a treble if they can win over the Jets - nothing like a local derby to spoil your plans.

Hosting elimination finals. Victory can't finish below 4th, but Sydney and Macarthur will be eyeing results to host next week.

6th spot isn't locked away. A WSW win would mean City need to beat WU to make it

Golden Boot is a tight race with Taggart leading by a single goal over Fornaroli.

Broxy's career in a nutshell lol

15 goals for Hiro this season, yet many expect him to not get another contract at the Reds which is madness. I won’t be renewing next season if he’s let go
Apparently he's set for the Roar.

7 goal thriller to close it the season for both sides, and Adelaide avoid the Australia Cup play in.

3-1 😤

We have to rely on...

Oh dear god, no.

Whatever happens mate, they've had a great season and have really exceeded all expectations.

If the Mariners win or draw, then they'll certainly be deserving champs.

City take sixth spot! a juice Elimination final against Victory awaits

2 offside goals, several great saves by Jamie Young - City rode their luck and kept the clean sheet.

Now on to an elimination game against Victory, who deserved to be bundled out after disrespecting the Broxham farewell against the Wanderers
