Delisted by Melbourne, along with his brother Josh and mid season recruit Kyle Dunkley.

And here we go.

Dunkley is surprising.

I'd definitely have a bit of interest there. Especially as he had no VFL football this year.

Port Melbourne coach Adam Skrobalak backs Jack Sinclair-like Corey Wagner to have impact for Fremantle Dockers

Link-breaking speed? Check. An elite kick? Check. Ability to take the game on from the back half? Check.

Mature-aged recruit Corey Wagner appears to have all the attributes Fremantle have been missing over the first month of their stuttering season.

But his former Port Melbourne coach Adam Skrobalak believes there’s one other feature of his game which sets him apart, even likening him to All-Australian defender Jack Sinclair who he coached at St Kilda for several years.

“One thing he’s not afraid to do is take the game on,” Skrobalak told The West Australian.

Wagner has emerged as a serious chance to make his Fremantle debut after flying to Adelaide on Monday alongside forward Sam Sturt and clearance machine Will Brodie.

The 26-year-old ex-Melbourne and North Melbourne player was flying over the summer, regularly leading the time trials, before a hamstring injury hurt his chances of a debut in the earlier season.

WAFL TEAM OF THE WEEK – ROUND 7
HALF-BACK FLANK – COREY WAGNER (Peel Thunder)

Is in his first season on Fremantle's list having previously played at both Melbourne and North Melbourne before earning his way back into the AFL with his VFL form. Is settling in tremendously at Peel where his run and dash is a highlight, but his defensive work is underrated. Had a standout performance against West Perth where not only did he amass 33 possessions but also helped restrict the dangerous Keegan Knott to eight kicks and one goal.
