He played well. Dowling, Borlase and Berry also good.
I was at the game and whilst he was good I have 5 players ahead of him in terms of influence on the game . Dowling , borlase, berry , shoey and bond were more influential. Murphy should not be back on that performance imo given there’s plenty ahead of him.

Dowling, borlase, Schoenberg and Berry all better than him last match as well.

He's been genuinely improving - perhaps lacks impact with some of his possessions, and where he's best (inside) we don't need too many players in that role.

I think he gets a chance this year, and he's learning how to do other things on the ground.

At 187cm, he could offer something different to the 2 crabs. Does he take opponents on and sometimes break through firward of the contest?

Please no Murphy in the seniors this week. He was just ok in this match. As previously pointed out there are several ahead of him right now. Nicks get the bl**dy selection right this week for a change.

I'm glad we don't have a SANFL game this week, no excuses for the boys to miss watch and learn from all the invaluable experience we have out on the field this afternoon.

Now on to 1982 GF Norwood v Glenelg, some stars early in their careers, Aish, Macca, Thomas, McDermott, McGinness, Kernahan plus some gun senior players, Rocky, Gallagher, Winter, Jenkins, Button, Weston, Cornes, Sewer, Holst. Glory days on SANFL.

And seriously the Macca Pedlar comparisons are a joke, both short, nuggety, but Macca shits all over him

Why didn’t Jez McLennan from Centrals get a look in at the Gold Coast . Not like they had a dearth of good defenders . BOG in both state games and definitely will be picked up in mid season draft .

I see Pedlar as more like Clayton Lamb.

Weak team this week. Maybe 2 emergencies drop back

Kuwarna forward/midfielder Luke Pedlar will make his way back from a shoulder injury with the Club’s SANFL side this weekend.

Pedlar, who has not played since he dislocated his shoulder in the Club’s AFL Round Seven match against North Melbourne, has been cleared to feature in a competitive game.

The 22-year-old is one of seven inclusions to the Kuwarna SANFL squad for its Indigenous Round match against Sturt at Unley Oval this Saturday.

Development listed player Steve Burton is in line to make his League debut with Kuwarna and he is named in the squad alongside Hugh Haysman, Lachlan Thomas, Jacob Templetonand Dylan Whimpress.

AFL-listed defender Dan Curtin rounds out the inclusions.

SANFL Skipper Jack Madgen will miss the game due to entering the League’s concussion protocol, while AFL-listed players Sam Berry, James Borlase, Will Hamill, Lachlan Murphy, Harry Schoenberg and Kieran Strachan have been included in the AFL squad.

Kuwarna will announce its final AFL team on Friday, with the game on Sunday, and the players not included in that will play in the SANFL game.

The SANFL will celebrate First Nations Round during this week and next week’s games, with teams donning their Indigenous guernseys to honour the special round.

The round aims to recognise and celebrate the contribution of all SANFL First Nations players past and present who have made, and continue to make, such a significant contribution to our game.

Kuwarna players will don the Indigenous guernsey crafted by AFL forward Izak Rankine, who worked alongside his cousin, artist Harley Hall, in a celebration of their shared Ngarrindjeri heritage.

The Club takes on the Double Blues at Unley Oval on Saturday at 2.30pm.
