In fairness he attacked before Remco punctured to see if he could get a gap, he didn't attack because Remco punctured.I don't how to feel about that stage. On one hand it's great to see guys taking the race on like Roglic did but GC guys finishing with Sprinter/Puncheur types is the reason 3k rule exists and for the sake of a few seconds he is possibly out of the race.

I mean the attack worked. The crash had nothing to do with it. What happened could have easily gone in the bunch as well. As far as "only 8 seconds", what would have happened if Pederson, Wright and van Poppel hadn't caught him, he outpoints Ackermann, wins the stage and gets 18 seconds? It would have been a mental blowto Remco.Yeah even without that it ended up being 8 seconds. The risk V the reward just wasn't there and the amount of blood on him, even if he starts tonight he will well off anywhere near his best. Although he never likely has been near 100% for this race.

Damn it . What looked to be a strong GC battle is now down 2 stars (Roglic and Yates). Curious to see if it frees up Rohan and co for the rest of the race.
Bennett won the first two sprint stages? They had a split focus tbf.The biggest mystery for me in this race has been Bora. Really strong squad, did absolutely nothing. I went back to watching GCN over SBS, the commentary was appalling. Talking Vine up as a GC threat was stupid, their barracking for Aussies in every race is becoming tedious. Remco deserves a lot of respect, Van Wilder was pretty much the only climber he had for support, their tactics of focusing on the first week and the TT set it up.
