assistant coach at the northern Blues in the VFL. Pretty sure he is their forward coach.

Was senior coach at Yarraville-Sendon eagles for two years prior to that.

Think he tried to play a few local games back in 2012-13 but lingering pain made it impossible to play. focused on coaching now. A real shame, because he would have been a 200 game player by now.

Interesting reading back on all the articles, how even "favourite sons" like JWS viewed the club and the medical facilities. Such an improvement in the past 7 years that we now have elite facilities, and superb guys like Steve Saunders - that are actually making us a destination club FOR the injury prone players.

He'd be a 200 game midfield general right now. Probably the missing link
