Wanting to trade Powell to Merrett, even if he plays guts this is still a 25-30 ppg upgrade.
To facilitate this I need to go Camden down to a rookie.
Do I bring a Garcia/rogers or go early on a jones/simpson? Already went early on Sweet
Thinking either option 1 to add 2 promos, or option 2 to maximise cash gen:
1. Wines to flanders
Billing’s to Darcy
Hreid to Powell
+20k
or
2. Wines to Powell
Fyfe to Dempsey
Billing’s to darcy
+400k
I’d prefer to not trade wines but it allows me to field all of Kerch/sanders/robbo.
Lack of defensive running and tackle pressure a big concern. All of a sudden we looked quite unfit and were outrun at the end of the 4th.
Definitely too tall currently, I’d like to see wicks > amartey in the team. Gives us more run and tackle pressure on the bigger ground
Terry to serong + 25k, next week move wines to Flanders, hreid f6
Or
Terry to Powell + 320k, wines to touk and hreid to Flanders next week, billings f6
Had a shocking start to the year.
Currently thinking:
Young to Massimo
Sberry to kerch
Sexton to powell
Leaves me with $310k
Next week I then go:
Wines to touk
Hreid to Flanders
Berry to Darcy
Flanders looks must have but if you didn’t start him can you bring him in before the bye? Worried I’ll miss out on him at that price, could sideways trade Martin to him?
You’ve got maxwell bowling close to 10 overs, head could bowl a couple. Marsh has been under utilised as a bowler.
I just think that middle order is quite weak if the top order doesn’t show up against India/Sth Africa etc.
Hamling has shown he’s a proven afl level defender when healthy, has just missed a lot of footy due to his ankle
Injury, whereas I’d say Brand never really established himself at the level.
Freo fans saying Hamling was outstanding this year for peel/Freo and played 23 games. I think he’s a...
Great thing is that we know Parker and adams are both very effective playing forward, I think you could only play 1 of them on the ball at a time for longer periods as they are abit slower.
I think the mix in the center would be 1 of adams/Parker as the old bull providing leadership and grunt...
I could see Hamling being too good to be stuck in the ressies. If Melican is fit and inform could we play all 3 of them and McCartin? Maybe McCartin plays loose as the interceptor?
This midfield depth is exciting.
More so that papley can go back to playing mostly around goals, hopefully can refind his AA form.
Adams/rowbottom/chad/Parker/gulden/Gus/mills is great depth through there
We’ll be a fair bit stronger next year with natural progression from our young guns, better depth and hopefully a significantly better ruck. I’d back us to be as good as Melbourne/carlton for the 3rd best team.
But I think the pies and lions are clearly the best 2 teams for at least the next...
