Collingwood, then carloltank, then Hawthorn, then Essendon, then West Coast... And now Brisbane.
That daylight is disappearing.
Just had a look at the game, and I could swear that geelong who was the dominant side of last year and earlier this one, was pulling out all the stops to beat...
So far this year, Hawthorn, Collingwood, Carloltank, Essendon and the WB have all clean up Richmond, without breaking much of a sweat.
Next week, Richmond take on Geelong. I think this game could give us a good angle on where geelong is ATM. If the pussies expect to be taken seriously, they...
All you carloltank knob jockies that think you're a chance against the pies this week, here's a chance to put your sig where your mouth is. I'm offering a sig bet until the rest of the season (with conditions - must post regularly, must troll own club, etc) to any and all you carloltank nimrods...
Sure, they're on top of the ladder after 8 straight wins, but let's have a closer look, shall we? With 3 wins by less than a goal, and a seemingly endless run of luck with the men (who were once) in white, Geelong are 3 kicks away from 6th place, where many would say they're struggling to...
Why do we, in our great game, award 4 points for a win, and 2 for a draw? Was there ever a time when 1 or 3 points could be awarded? If we've only ever awarded 2/4 points, then why not have 1/2 points instead?
I just logged on to the AFL website to check the scores in the Geel/Syd game, and this is what it said on the main page.
Syd: 4.5.27
Geel: 5.5.20
There's something seriously wrong there. Does this happen often?
I was thinking about this the other day. There's a lot of coincidence between these 2 clubs. Here's what I have so far, see if you can add to it.
- Of the traditional 12 VFL clubs, only Collingwood and St Kilda have both black and white in their club colours.
- Collingwood was the first club...
First, let me say, I'm not saying this to be a troll, or to wind up the St Kilda Supporters. I'm not saying it to rub the noses of anyone here the wrong way. If I wanted to do that, I'd have posted this on B13. No, I'm saying saying this because of the young girl wearing a tear soaked St Kilda...
I watch the game at a pub, and the noise was so loud, it was almost impossible to hear the commentators or umpires at times. One thing has puzzled me ever since it happened. The free kick against Jolly for a ruck infringement in the last qtr. He was standing alone, under the ball, waiting for it...
Can they do it? Do they have what it takes? Can St Floodrapefail go back to back next Saturday? I think they can, they have the necessary skills and talent to lose their second GF against the pies. s**t, it took them half a game to get going against the dogs. If they do that against the pies...
What a superb performance by the pies tonight. Tonight we showed how we'll have Geelong's number for quite some time now, and next week, we'll show we have St floodrape's
I was discussing the subject of minor premiers in the finals here a while ago. I can't remember where or with whom, but the discussion was based on the idea that the minor premiers should get some advantage that the other sides don't get. Like under the final 5 system, where the top side got a...
Excellent win to the pies. 8 goals against the team tipped to knock the cats off their perch. Carved the saints up all day, all over the ground. I think we can finally say the pies are genuine premiership contenders.
1: Naught, as in: Port's total number of games won in the last 5 weeks is naught.
2: Fought, as in: I went to a bar with my teammates the other night, and I had to step in because my mate's girlfriend fought with my girlfriend.
3: Court, as in: I nearly had to go to court as a result of point...
We all know it's going to happen, it's only a matter of time. I'm talking of course about the crows rising above their arch rivals PA on the ladder. I'm tipping it to happen in round 19. Although it is possible it'll happen earlier.
Our win against Freo last week was the 6th consecutive traveling win for the pies. Since then, I haven't seen much around here from people claiming we have a soft draw, because we only travel 4 times.
Our next 3 interstate games are Brisbane, Sydney and port. I can't see us losing any of those...
