Macca Silver, Paddo 5th once again another great result for the Aussie team.

Beaten by a 3 time world champ is no disgrace who has cleared 2.06 as her PB

Yeah while doped up….. Russians are crooks and banned for a reason.

Man so close, one of the only Russians to be able to compete stops us from our 18th gold, we had so many close Silvers hard to take

Friggin BS that russia can run a state sponsored doping program and just change its name it can compete under and then everything is apparently ok.

An Indian won the Men's Javelin. That's their first athletics medal. Previous best 2 4ths.

Best Placings:
Women P. T. Usha 400mH: 1984-4
Men Milkha Singh 400m: 1960-4

It's only the second Gold for India at an Olympics since their last win in the Men's hockey at Moscow 1980

Seb Coe tried his best. Pity 1 of the 10 was Lasitskene

On 19 February 2021, it was announced that Russia would compete under the acronym "ROC", after the name of the Russian Olympic Committee. Before this decision, World Athletics has annouced that no more than 10 Authorised Neutral Athletes (ANA) places was to be granted by World Athletics to the Russian Olympic Committee. On aftermatch, the IOC annouced that Russian national flag would be substituted by the flag of the Russian Olympic Committee. It would also be allowed to use team uniforms bearing the words "Russian Olympic Committee" or the acronym "ROC" would be added.[6]

Give it a rest champ. Lastiskene went harder at Russian officials than anyone else.
Mud sticks my friend and they are proven cheats champ.

Yeah I’m honestly surprised she wasn’t whacked with how hard she went at them.

What an effort from McDermott.
No idea if the Russian athlete had any involvement in doping, but honestly, that Russian athletes are competing feels like a farce.
Systemic doping deserved a systemic response.
