Does anyone have any interesting, weird, quirky and quite bizarre stats from any SANFL games and seasons?

For me, it's this.

In Round 9 2000, Central Districts defeated North Adelaide by 137 points (183-46.)
That same round, Woodville West Torrens played Glenelg.
The result, 137 points (167-30.)
 
Definitely one for the interesting, weird, quirky and quite bizarre category!:-

Adelaide (SANFL) for the last 2 weeks have had their games seriously impacted by power/light failures. The rd. 4 game against Glenelg officially ended up a draw when the lights went out 12 or so minutes into the last 1/4, with the scores level. Incredibly, the rd. 5 game vs. South Adelaide on Saturday night (at a different venue) couldn't be started as the lights weren't working. It was played on the Sunday.
 
Central Districts are the only team to have won premierships in the seniors, reserves and under 19s in the same season (2003).


Two teams have provided medallists in the Magarey Medal, Reserves Magarey Medal and Tomkins Medal (under 19s) in the same season.

In 1950 it was North Adelaide with Ian McKay (Magarey), Sim Barbary (Reserves Magarey) and Lloyd Weston (Tomkins).
In 1989 Central Districts provided Gilbert McAdam (Magarey), Phil Lounder (Reserves Magarey) and Paul Hicks (Tomkins).

Unsure as to why players with one football match have been quoted as having played the match over a span of two separate years.

Neil Hawke was an unbelievable talent...but of an Ablett-Fevola temperament.
 
One amazing SANFL stat I noticed is that no Woodville-West Torrens Eagles player has won a Magarey Medal since the merged club commenced in 1991. The last time a player from West Torrens or Woodville won this award was in 1972 by Woodville's Malcolm Blight, while Lindsay Head in 1963 was the last Magarey medal winner from West Torrens.

Doubt it'd be North.
Yeah, they had some shockers (mid 2000s, mid 2010s)
But didnt they have 3 or 4 straight finals campaigns before their 1-17 season?
And they did make the GF in 07 and were alright around then.

Probably more likely Glenelg would be at the bottom than North.
But yeah, South would be a good guess.

but tbh - I have no clue on what it is.
Just guessing.

1927: West
1928: Port
1929: Norwood
1930-31: North
1932: Sturt
1933: Torrens
1934: Glenelg
1935: South

South would be my guess, Glenelg would be down there too, and despite 2015 I don't think West's average would be that great over the last 20 years

Does anyone know what Neil Hawke's playing weight & height were? Have seen video of him playing test cricket for the Aussies & piccies in his book "Bowled Over" - he looks about 6 foot 1/185cm or so. Strongly built.

Any old players cards etc with that detail?

In the AFL, the last Fitzroy player to retire was Chris Johnson, while the last player to retire from the Brisbane Bears was Daniel Bradshaw.

Does anyone know the last SANFL players to retire who played for the West Torrens Eagles and Woodville Warriors as single entries prior to the 1990 merger?
