North of $2m per year for Martin and Williams.

Both ok players but f@#$ me what are they paying Cripps?

Cripps is on close to 900k I think?

Martin's deal was heavily front-ended, and comes to around 600-650k/year when averaged over its course.
Williams will have a similar deal, looks like around 750-800k/year over its course, heavily front-loaded.

Nobody else at Carlton makes much money, to be frank. Weitering just got a significant pay rise, which we luckily got done before he becomes AA. McKay will get a decent pay rise soon. Walsh is still on cheapish dollars. No high-earning veterans on the list.

Martin goes down to around 450 as of next year, they frontloaded the shit out of his contract and he before Covid was due to earn well over a million.

Cripps is on close to a million and will stay on that if not more

Had to pay him that to lure him over. Probably overs but you pay to get your player.
All depends on your list and who’s getting what $ amount.

Obviously Cripps is on a big wicket which is well deserved then you’re also front loading Martin huge his first two years.

You’re also rumoured to be paying McGovern and curnow 800k

The hard part comes when Walsh and McKay want big pay rises and Charlie is hardly going to want a hair cut if you manage it well done to you

By that time Mcgovern will get a significant paycut murphy will most likely retire next year. And if more kids come on and we have salary cap pressure bloody hell that would be awesome. Can only mean we will be a good team with good players. The only kids that could demand much right now are mckay curnow weiters walsh. The other kids haven’t exactly set the world on fire. I’m just glad players want to come to us now.

All these contracts you mentioned are all heavily front loaded and we have been spending minimum cap.

McGovern if he is on 800k will be retained or traded for 400k tops in 2 years, Martin's front loads already frees up 300k+ which alone is enough to pay Williams and were still paying 95% of the cap.

People forget just last year we had enough cap space for all 3 of Martin Papley and Coniglio. Missed on two out of three and now we have retired two veterans.

We have plenty of cap space, crunch will probably come in a few years once we give massive pay rises to McKay and Walsh.

Huge get for Carlton, and exactly what they need. Adds heaps of class in the midfield (where he wants to play), but also can be played at half-back, forward or wing if needed. Very very good for the Blues and their future looking forward.

Yet another star that North misses out on. Corr instead of Williams is a big difference in quality

I agree on the Williams part. Classy, quick, tough player who suits our team perfectly.

On Corr, i think he is much improved and also suits North perfectly as Robbie Tarrant's replacement to partner young Ben McKay as their key backs. That locks up that part of their list build. GWS players apparently rate Corr highly. Good get by North.

Rapt to get Williams.

2 teams getting players they need. Crouch would be similar for Geelong. Can plug into midfield to replace the loss of Kelly and the lessening of Joel and Paddy in there.
