Anyway just played 18 and was no good.

Played with an Irishman and his 7 year old. Kid was better than me...But playing from kid distance tees.
Dad was off 2. Dad played right handed and was hitting 3 wood 250. Plays with right hand on top and left hand at bottom of grip and did not miss a fairway. Started playing like this as a youngster and thats how they do Hurling back at his home. Tried to change but couldn't. Was interesting to watch.

Nearly had my first eagle at Bay Views yesterday. Blind uphill approach shot from under a tree.

Wish I could have got around for 18 as would have been a good chance to break 100 which is nice for me.

There's a lot of courses around this area but have to say for a public it is pretty good value compared to the others, pretty well maintained, condition and greens were very good today, not overly busy, and cheaper than pretty much all the others here.

Played at peninsula kwood today. Hot and felt very oppressive due to lack or air movement. My game wasnt sharp, wasnt prepared mentally at all. Great company. Didnt lose a ball. Didnt break 30 but ya know. a wipe and a bird. But really guesswork all day

Greens are in good knick but most are an optical illusion. How did you find them?

Played Cerberus today and the less said the better.

They were fine for me, good condition, not too quick, not slow, reasonable pace.

The biggest plus for that course is its good price compared to everything else in the area, and it's a decent standard as well.

First comp round for a few weeks. Started with 1 point in the first three holes but finished with 36 and won the day. Highlight was four straight up and downs to start the back nine.

When does 36 points win a comp? It must have been a difficult day for golf!

Perfect warm still day

Mind you I’ve finished outside the placegetters with 40 before.

28 today with six wipes and 4 lost balls. Can’t remember the last time I lost a ball.

15 over at Hamersley today. 6 over after 12, including a run of pars from holes 7 - 12. Bogey on my nemesis hole the 13th, 14th a par 5, 80m from the hole after 2 shots. Ended with a 9. Bogey golf for the last 4 holes.

Golf is poo poo. Lost god knows how many balls at national today. very windy and stupidly tried to play straight instead of allowing for it. had 10000000s of shots despite hitting 10/14 fairways

13 over 85 at Wembley Old today. 5 over after 9,with 1 double. Hit a triple on the 12th to go 9 over, but held it together pretty well over the last 6 holes.
15 over on Saturday, 13 over today, that's a good weekend of golf for me

43 on the back 9 at Phillip Island yesterday. Played like I took up the game 3 months ago. Crap.
Today had 40 on the front 9. One double from nowhere but the rest was flushed and putted well.
Stupid game.

I think reading putts is probably my most costly error. That 8-15 foot range, I just don't make any. I hit bogies and pars, could easily be more pars and some birdies. Will talk to the club pros about this. Any brilliant advice from anyone here?

So you’re hitting good putts? If the hole wasn’t there would you say you hit the ball on the line you picked?
If so…good luck. I can’t help with reading. It comes from just practicing on breaking putts I reckon.

life of a golfer unfortunately.

Putting is feel i feel. making solid contact and getting the ball to roll properly. practice. certainly a putting lesson is a terrific idea.

I do. Of 5 putts tonight, one was a poor strike. X2 hit the hole and one finished behind the hole because of the slope. I had x2 lags which I 2 putted well and one gimmie from a good chip.

12 would be great, 9 often feels a touch too short but 18 is often hard to find the time

Was never going to be a great round but feel a little unfulfilled.
