The evidence is clear to me.

As an antitheist who opposes organised religion, there's no pushback when I critique Christianity, but plenty when I critique Islam.

How do you explain that?
People don’t like you?

You are using Middle Eastern religions as evidence for your weird Westernisation fetish??

I think the mods have definitely relaxed on our efforts to dismiss islam.
I was recently told to discontinue replying to someone, which is fine by me.
But if you want to attack the tenets, writings or beliefs, I still think it’s fairly open, unlike in the past!
It is my summation that that thread had an overzealous protective nature to make those that adhere to that cult feel protected and safe.
It’s definitely more relaxed guv!👍

One of the core values of the big W church, we should really make a list sometime.
Do it, I’m giddy with excitement Kramster.
I’ll start the ball rolling shall I?
The word/term woke originally appeared in the 1930’s as a non pejorative word/term by African American parents as a warning to their children to “stay woke” as a phrase, for their kids to be aware of racial prejudice and violence during a time black folks were attempting to fight for their rights to be treated equally or as Americans.
It would take another 3 decades for the American Civil Rights Movement to reach its zenith.
To this day, many in America still reject this fight and want a more 17th Century approach to their former cotton picking chattel.
Hows that?

Because in this country Christianity operates from a position of entrenched power, so critiquing them is not seen as attacking a vulnerable minority, whereas Islam is a minority and are often attacked on a racial basis disguised as religious criticism. Plus in this country it is the Christians who foist their beliefs on the rest of us and not the Muslims, but that's not necessarily saying they wouldn't if they could

The modern usage of 'woke' as a pejorative plays on sarcasm towards the far left.

One of the great speeches of all time is the "I have a dream" speech from MLK jr.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character" is a great line, I'm sure you agree. That's something I can get behind.

The modern day woke do the exact opposite - they judge people by the color of their skin. Some even judge Aboriginals for not being black enough (usually according to the standards of white men). Criticism of Jacinta Price on social media often reeks of racism to me.

Wokeism is just anti-Westernism afaic. While MLK jnr was a uniting force, the woke are oppositional to anything associated with Western civilisation. White is bad, Christianity bad, etc.

90% of the people who use the word 'cooker' on social media direct it towards everyone who disagrees with any tactics used by an ALP state government during the covid years. There were many different approaches used by governments across the world to tackle covid, often in stark contrast to the Victorian and WA government approaches. I suspect you're pretty one-dimensional in your views on the issue. i.e., saving lives is all that matters. That's probably a discussion for another thread if you wish to continue it.
'Anti-woke' is just an exercise in creating strawmen on an industrial scale. People attack Christianity due to their bigotry and their attempts to foist that bigotry on the rest of us and not simply for them being 'Christian'. White isn't bad, but the problem is that equality feels like discrimination to the privileged

What about Rwanda?

The number of these conspiracies that get floated is incredible.

Mostly Christian, but they don't think Trump is Jesus so evolved probably won't acknowledge them.
“Mostly Christian” ahahaha
That’s absurdism at its finest, like saying Bondi beach is mostly sandy.
Rwanda is the most “catholic” country in Africa, if not the world.
