Absolutely

Gives a journo a whack for asking about his knee by saying darcis doesn't deserve to have his win devalued

Hewitt out of the blocks quickly

Rafa did the same thing when he lost to ferrer at the aus open a couple years ago when he was clearly injured. He should have pulled out but kept playing because he didn't want his mates first QF to be a hollow one.. Then did the same thing to the media.. Seems like a great respectful bloke/champion

Huge win :thumbsu:

That last game was a rollercoaster. I wouldn't have fancied him serving for it if he didn't break.

Only the British could do something as stupid as start play 2 hours later on the main courts. It's ridiculous to have 3 straight setters and they are playing in the dark to finish the last match. The Darcis and Nadal match would have went longer than expected but on the flip side the Hewitt and Wawrinka match had a 5 setter all over it and was closed out in 3. It's just really ordinary scheduling, going to be even worse when it rains.

In shock upon hearing Nadal got knocked out overnight.
Aussies on court three tonight Stosur followed by Tomic

Just got up and checked the Hewitt-Wawrinka match score. 11 UEs and 32 winners for Rusty - he must have been absolutely on fire.

With Nadal out, that gives him a path to the QFs of Brown, Isner, Kubot/Paire/Darcis. Very doable.

EDIT: lol, just heard Nadal saying after the match that it's 'not the right time' to talk about his knees. Good news, sounds like he is still undefeated while fit.

I didn't think he played THAT badly. He is always a bit wonky in the first week of Wimbledon, when the courts are still fast and he hasn't adapted to the surface. He seems unsteadier on his feet these days, off clay.

Darcis played a very good match. Attacking tennis, lots of S&V.

Managed to get in to Court 1 for the Hewitt/Wawrinka match... Lets just say I'm a happy man :thumbsu: Pretty awesome day, hard not to get excited about lleytons draw now.

I'll write more of report when I get back but Matosevic has gone full blown mug status, his attitude in the first set astounded me. Reid has top 100 potential but needs to build on his ground game. And Nadal? Wow, I guess we'll see him South America next year ;)

How much did federer's odds drop overnight lol.

But Hewitt's a brutal opponent for him, no way he gets through lleyton /2002

He's now losing in the semis

Our Aussie players really need to perform well to keep Australian Tennis alive. Our best chance is Sam Stosur but her form has been poor leading up toWimbledon. Good luck Aussies.

What were the Nadal/Darcis odds before the match started? Can't find them anywhere.

Imagine a Fed v Hewitt QF. The next day should be a public holiday in Aust so we could all stay up and watch it
