well i guess that i fell in love with the players before i fell in love with the club. i like how melbourne is not violent and how they support each other no metter what. the club is great and always nice to the supporters and they are also really good (well most of the time)
they have good colors, good song, good (looking) players and a good training venue!
DEES RULE FOREVER!!!!!!!

Coz Im Black And White Forever!

Born Black And White And Will Die Black And White!

Sometimes really wonder y collingwood deserve a true supporter like me the way they treat me like shit is sad

i was always a blues supporter but i first became a member in 1995, and went to my 1st grand final and really enjoyed watching football for the 1st time
(and it wasn't because we won every game but 2)
its a great game and i luv it
i don't care what anyone else says carlton is a great team (one of the best ever) and you can't generalize and say that all the fans are stuck up and can't hack losing which i know is what some of you say!!
i will always be a blue even if we lose every game coz i'm a true supporter and nothing and no-one will ever change that!

blues rule and u know it so don't even try to tell me otherwise!!

I just fell in love with the Roys 10 years ago.........been a devoted lioness ever since, then when the merger happened, I had no say in the matter, I just couldn't imagine NOT following the Lions

That's basically my story

I was born into a household of ex-south and former fitzroy supporters, when they were both gone my parents gave up on the afl and I went along with my grandparents to the trainings and practically lived down at the club when i was growing up so I was pretty much brainwashed, and never turning back

If I didn't barrack for the Blues, I would probably be kicked out of the family

Nah really though, my grandpa and dad have always been mad carlton supporters, and the main reason i started following the blues is cos of them.

Go Blues!

when I was 4 I had a friend.

He went for South Adelaide (Panthers)...they had a player called Stewart Palmer and we used to fight over who could be him in the backyard footy. We compromised and I was Stewart and he was Palmer.

I found out that his Mum wouldn't let him follow Port because "they were mongrols" and when they were losing they start a fight.

That was good enough for me.

GO PORT.

My dad is a Collingwood's supporter,
and his dad was a Collingwood supporter so its in the blood.

Even in dark times, i have always felt proud to wear the colours of the black and white.

"Collingwood forever"

Preseason 1979. Newly in Vic from NZ via WA. At first it was nothing more than the name. Carlton and United Breweries

By the time the season had started, I knew all about Jezza, Doull, the mosquito fleet. I was hooked.

The owner of the caravan park we were staying at was a committee member of the Blues. Players like Wayne Harmes and Jimmy Buckley used to come and play tennis with us at the park. One day the local team I played for was coached for the day by Vin Catoggio. And to top it off the park owner used to play the Blues theme song over the PA everytime they won. Plus he would give free ice creams to any kid who could sing the Blues theme song.

Hard to be anything else really

Haven't regretted it since. They are a huge part of my life. I'm navy blue through and through.

Mainly, I support Essendon because my significant other and her family are from the northwestern suburbs of Melbourne and have barracked for the red and black for generations and these are the people who introduced me to the game and took me to see live footy. I can hear everyone making the whip-cracking noises already
smile.gif

I also found the colors and the tradition-rich history of the club were appealing to me. Some on field success helped clinch it, but at the time I began to follow Essendon real closely was in the middle of a H&A season where Essendon was 4th or 5th on the ladder, so I didn't become a supporter to be a frontrunner.

That's a hard question. When Freo came into the competition I was just starting to really get into footy in my last year of primary school. They were the new kids on the block and were the under dogs so I guess that was why. I can't really explain it these days but hopefully my kids one day will say "Well my old man went for them and so do I"
