Why are Port more hated than the Crows?

I was on this site in 2004-2005 under another account and I remember how Port fans carried on after winning their flag that year. Literally the worst winners out of most premiership teams in the last 30 years.

I don't harbour any hard feelings these days. The 2007 grand final and subsequent rut saw quite a few of the arrogant pricks disappear.

Never liked the power ever since they entered the afl.
Kind of like flogs and black and white want to bees.
They remind me off toxic crap.
Terrible teal color and Kane cornes and david kosh.
The fans are nobs.
Fake all over and no player with any real class either.
Like the cats they are grubby.
Crows feel alot more South Aussie and to me are the pride of SA.
I think port should fold and have like Norwood enter the afl.

This is good I'm glad you feel this way, the Crows are a quasi state side which is why you like them and find them non threatening as for Norwood they had their chance and lacked the balls to go for it.

It's called rivalry. Port and Crows hate each other as most crosstown rivals around the world do.
Whether the other teams and supporters love, hate or are indifferent to either of us doesn't really matter that much.

As a SA born and bred follower of a VIC team I don’t actually like either of the SA teams but I do respect Port more than the Crows which may seem strange as a lifelong Norwood man with family links to the club for generations but I do know plenty of other Norwood supporters who feel the same.

Agree with this.

The best thing for the Crows was when Port came into the AFL

Rivalries make sport far more interesting...

How about openly celebrating a racist?
Saying one racist thing doesn't make you a racist person. Means you're flawed.
No one has ever suggested Tex isn't a flawed person.

We all are.
Tackling racism (the collection of racist thoughts and actions throughout the whole of society) is the task.

If celebrating a footballers career and positive impact on people (young, old, all the charity work Tex has done) is no longer viable because of a moment in one's life of poor character, then I don't like where society is going either.

The AFC were celebrating his return to the side from his suspension for racial vilification.

Port are not exactly cleanskins...

Thank god Port didn't recruit Tex. With him rallying their supporters, there would have been ugly scenes.

Unless either of those women made the AFLW side and I didn't hear about it, not quite the same thing, is it?

Do you also notice how Port took away those people's memberships and excommunicated them from the club, whereas the Crows have continued to re-contract and celebrate Walker?

Bottom line is unfortunately racism has tarnished both clubs... yet you throw stones.

Port supporters have a far worse record when it comes to crowd behaviour, including towards your own coach this year!

The whole point wasn't the racism, rather the endorsement/celebration of the offenders. Which would be like if Port released a tribute video of those racist supporters and proudly said they are the most passionate in the league.

Ultimately good players survive scrutiny on matters such as these besides a few media articles. There's no material affect on career, or club endorsed celebration. It's just the way it is.

Love to see how you blokes would've coped with 13 years of Neil Craig, you were stoning and egging Robert Shaw's house after less than two years.

What is this endorsement or celebration of racism by the Crows you are suggesting?

Ridiculous...
