Just looked up Carltons age profile. Geez they have a mass of better players either 30 and above or almost 30 heading into next season.

I fear if they don't win the flag in 2025 the window might close on them and things will turn really ugly.

Sam Walsh the exception but he alone can't carry the club through the next chapter of the dark days.
You're about to cop some severe wooden spoon abuse for these facts

What is your definition of MASS -
like 5 out of the list ?

'A mass' means a large cohort (most) of their better players.

Next year players will be turning:-

Cripps 31
Williams 31
Saad 31
Dochery 32
Acres 30
McKay 28
Fantasia 30 (lol)
Newman 32
Weitering 28
Pittonet 29
Hewitt 30
Curnow 29
Haynes 33

Under 26 there is not much proven talent apart from Walsh, DeKoning and maaaayyybbbeeee Cerra to build a list around.

Really is their last year next year to try to jag a flag somehow.

You've added extra years to like half those players lmao 😂

You ages look a bit off.

Carlton will be the 6th oldest list in 2025

The only teams with older lists are - Pies, Brisbane, Melb, WB, Geel - teams who unlike Carlton have been playing in GFs recently.

Sydney is the same age as Carlton, another team with multiple GFs recently.

Carlton need to have a 16 win H&A season in 2025 and make top 4, or else the list just ain't up to it.

I think Sydney's under 26s have way more depth than Carltons though. 80% of Carltons better players are either over 30 or just about 30.

Nope. That's the age they will be turning next year, hence my original point. If the don't somehow jag a flag next year it's looking pretty dire. Again.
15 months ago we had a 36yo BOG in the last quarter of a GF. A 32yo second best. The other old fellas are still contributing at a high level like Howe, Elliot etc. Clearly well phase them out gradually. I remember having this dig at Geelong for years after Stevie J, Enright, Scalrett etc retired. They kept regenerating smartly and stayed up top. Its hard but its not impossible

Cripps - 29
Curnow - 27
Weitering - 27
McKay - 27
Walsh - 24
TDK - 25
Cerra - 25
E.Hollands - 22

I think we'll be fine for at least next few years lmao.

Add to that some good young kids coming through who will get some exposure this year and I don't think anyone Blues fan will be too worried about the near future.

The Pies on the other hand are stale, old and cooked. Oldest list in history.
