I'm still glowing in the sunshine of watching you dirty birders miss finals by beezdik - only to see your arch rivals Carlton chuck yu into teh divvy van and send you packing to Mexico...

and then to top it all off your golden boy teh umpires pet wiht 21 other dirty bird players insrtucted to "play for nicky" scoring the most number of Brownlows in the hsitory of the game - except only to be pantsed by the Carlton captain who scored MORE brownlows points than even that

A DOUBLE BANGER carlton knife to the hearts of the toofless losers

The more you sewer rats scream and rant and rave - the funnier it all goes down..

so keep up the brave work dirty birders- Carlton ALWAYS has the last laugh over Collingwood always has always will.

GLORIOUS
2024 certainly was a season for the ages for Carlton supporters, wasn't it?

Qualified for an Elimination Final (despite putting in one of the most pathetic and embarrassing finals efforts the game has seen), finished a spot above Collingwood, and their Captain won a Brownlow!

It doesn't get any better than that for Carlton supporters in the 21st Century, given beating Collingwood in a game that counts and contending for premierships just aren't on the radar for Carlton in the modern era.

Yep, I'm sure you honestly believe that and we heard it all about Collingwood's list heading into the 2022 season.

And guess what happened?
I think I've replied to this post a thousand times, Pies were old then and now two more years older, super rules footy next for most of them.

Imgine not being able to make finals over a Carlton that you describe in your fudginamination

Your own narrative makes you look as silly ..

It is a very funny little trap youve set for yourself because you and your fellow dirty birders are so arrogant you cant accept the troof.

Keep putting fancy clothes on the dead zombie you call "a powerhouse" Membry is teh solution to yoru forwad line now ...LOL

I'm laughing at you all - every day you continue with your nonsense.

You're laughing at what you're hoping will happen to Collingwood, whilst we're all hysterical with laughter at what has actually happened to Carlton.

I thought I would pop in to see how the thread was going.

I see it's still just a Fadge obsession thread.

One poster you could mark it down as stalking, seems to follow Fadge to every thread he posts in.

Anyway, I'll leave y'all to it.

Oh, one question:

Who is this Carlton that everyone talks about, I can't remember them.

They're currently good enough for top 4. Bridging that last gap can require a few missing pieces.

Geelong 2017-2020 were a good-ish team but had serious flaws - especially in terms of the forward mix and runners. SDK, Cameron, Smith, Holmes and Stengle addressed most of them ready for 2022 before the large core of older players started declining. It allowed Blicavs and Atkins to move into midfield to add depth and accountability there, which refreshed Selwood and Dangerfield for a finals assault.

Collingwood 2023 got the help they needed in midfield from Mitchell and up forward with McStay + Hill. Of course there's no flag without N.Daicos turning into a star as quickly as he did. All important through the year and at stages in at least one of those close finals.

Brisbane 2024: comparing it to their 2022 finals series for instance, Dunkley and Ashcroft made a big difference. Indirectly it allowed Zorko to be an All Australian half back once Coleman went down. Lohman, Morris and Fletcher chipped in at important moments as well.

All of the above additions allowed the sides to be better balanced, have more weapons and make important positional rotations to existing players. Have the Blues recruited the players that will do the same to address their current weaknesses? It doesn't seem obvious yet. Their supporters will be able to answer that better.
Mate, you've fallen for them again....

The Carlton supporters were asked to post their best forward line in the Carlton/Collingwood thread, and this is what they came up with:

E. Hollands - McKay - Silvagni
Williams - Curnow - Fogarty
Bench - Motlop

5 players who kicked 47 goals between them.in 2024, and they've lost a player who kicked 33 alone. One of those players is returning from a knee reco and averaging 0.75 goals a game. (We were scoffed at for daring to suggest McInnes would be a starting forward at Carlton, but even he is averaging 0.95 goals a game, with half of them either subbed in or out). Curnow to miss a chunk of the pre season with his knee.

The backline's not much better, with a midfield of Cripps (superstar), Walsh (who knows), Cerra (can he get on the park?), Hewett (honest and reliable) and Smith (will be a star but what will he produce in his first year?).

They did nothing to improve their list in the off season from a team that has gone 12, 13, 13 wins a season across the past 3 seasons, whilst the teams around them on the ladder have materially improved their lists.

They'll be no better than a mid table team, and God help them if they lose any of Cripps, Weitering, Curnow or TDK for any extended period of time...

Quiet during the season, good to see not much has changed

Is that some kind of god like achievement or something?
What else did you achieve after this god like achievement?
I bet it stretched your pants, it was that good.

Plenty of teams finished above us, we had a crap year.
You asked the question - don't get all defensive with the reply
There are 2 sides in this thread .
It's not " who will be better - Collingwood or Collingwood?"

Yet another lie.

I couldn't give a rats about you stalkers.

You think Carlton finishing above Collingwood is some sort of avievement after we had a bad year.
When was the last time you finished above Collingwood after they had a fair to good year?

Carlton are just minnows now, no-one cares.

There's so much dumb in this its hard to know where to start

'Only going to take us to win one...'

Suggest we're all pretty safe on that front, given your list isn't even good enough to contend for, let alone win, a premiership.
Time will tell…can’t see your mob winning one soon so I’m not overly concerned.
