Pies still 9th.
I remember when you guys were the proud arrogant bullies of the VFL. Your supporters had a strut to match those of the likes of Doull, Johnson, Jezza Kernaghan, Kouta etc. They could talk the talk because their team could walk the walk. Once were warriors.
Now though....
Now relegated to celebrating a fixture created 8th spot and an Owen 60 finals exit.
Once were warriors.
It's almost tragic. But mainly funny😀

I think Carlton are an up and coming middling team amongst probably 15-17 other middling teams ...( and who knows how much Joe Daniher retitrement will see Brisbane cpme back to the pack) - and I think Collingwood are a sliding down and down middling team.

Both Clubs have improved their lists - so I disagree with the Fudgenator - Carlton by removing the prennially injured and adding seirous developing depth - Collingwood by keeping Pendelbury and Sidebottom alive and getting a reluctant and (obviously) unhappy to miss out on Carlton Houston to join Membrey a serviceable forward to add to the lack of marking forward capability Collingwodo are plagued with.

Should be another close encounter of the Carlton will win kind in 2025 says nothing much about flag aspirations though- Carlton ( IMO ) missing a 2nd KPD and a decent crumbing small - Collingwood missing not much if it all can stay on the park for a season - but age profile might conspirte to see soft tissue injuries feature ( again).

I note mentions of Norths as indicative of a soft draw for Carlton in 2024 - and yet Collingwood managed a 1 point win under very controversial circumstances showing that that bit of banter is just - embarassing for the dirty birds..

More of a concern to Carlton will be the impoving Adelaide and Fremantle as well as St Kilda if they can stay fit - three teams with as much aspiration to force their way into finals as Carlton has - and Collingwood hopes for - I do think this is the last year for a while that Collingwood supporters might go into match up against Carlton with 'confidence'...so enjoy - what will inevitably be - that disapointment.

It will be close if Collingwood are having an outstanding year is my view - but I wouldnt be surprised to see the dirty bord wheels fall off and things get rather ugly at some stage - would love to see a Collingwood V Carlton final of some sort though.

Don't you love the delusion of Carlton supporters in November.

It's very cute.

What's funny is you were worse than that. Still 9th.

Well mate, we've been bloody trying. 15 finals series, 9 prelims, 6 GFs and 2 flags this century is surely enough opportunities for you guys to meet us in one? Whats been going on?

So now you don't rate Jagga Smith? I can't keep up with your mood swings.
I do rate Jagga Smith.

But I don't expect him to single-handedly compensate for the combined contribution of the players you have lost in the off season, in year 1 of his career.

Still waiting for a Carlton supporter to give me a list of the in's and out's for 2025, and explain to me how the list is better year on year.

yeah a long run of total shyte from the Blues is a remarkable thing and has kept your dirty birders very happy - however times are changing, you know it s do most of yoru fellow peyez smates on here- resistance is futile.

Still going on about pre 23/24.

So you're telling me the fact Collingwood have objectively improved a list that won a premiership in 2023, compared to Carlton who didn't improve a list that is yet to even contend for a premiership let alone win one, 'means sfa towards 2025'?

Hmmmm.....

I think you should reconsider. Balls deep is an improvement and might make you more popular. People prefer to be balls deep than Bale Dup.
It's 2024, dude. We accept you. Love is love.
