He's kicked as many goals in a single quarter of a Preliminary Final as their champion full-forward Charlie Curnow has throughout his entire career in finals, and yet he's considered a spud unable to contribute at AFL level...
Cox the player with less goals over the entirety of his career as Curnow in just the last 2... What a weapon 😂

He's 34 next week, true spuds have retired long before that age

129 games, a flag and a highlights package in big games exceeding Walsh, not bad for a guy who hadn't even heard of the game 11 years ago [emoji3]

He'll be depth in his final year and retire as a club hero, never having to pay for a drink in a pub ever again

'He's a spud because he won't be on a list in 2026 as a 35 year old....'

so, less than premiership players than richmonds squad - who are widely tipped to finish bottom? doesn't mean shit.
You are aware that you are saying having 5 premiership players OUTSIDE of our best 23 is bad depth??

Our best 23 (as listed) still has 16 Collingwood premiership players in it.

So all up the Pies squad for 2025 has 21 premiership players in it

How many does Richmond have left heading into 2025? And of that group, how many would be outside of their best 23?

Your argument for a player being good depth in 2025 can't just be they won a GF in 2023. It's irrelevant to how they will perform now.

Who will be remembered in the history books as a better player u reckon Fudgey? Step ladder Cox, or Charlie 2x Coleman Curnow?
FFS.

One will be remembered more for his home and away efforts for a mediocre club, the other will be remembered for his big moments in big games on the biggest stage for the biggest club.

Would u prefer McKay then? In the last 3 seasons while playing Fwd/Ruck he's kicked more goals than the peanut Americano has in his career!
Getting closer though he's not a true 2nd ruck, won't ruck if both TDK and Pitto are playing

There's no doubt Cox is nearing the end and is now just depth

But what a legend [emoji122] what a big-game highlights package

When do we pull out the 2020 Elimination Final against West Coast?

Only his second biggest matchwinning performance...

Was it 3 goals in 5 minutes from contested marks?

Leaving him as the only current player to score 3 goals in a quarter of a final TWICE

Meaningful, game-busting goals too, not junk-time crap like L Parker in the GF

I remember when you declared Curnow the best player in the league after a fantastic performance vs the Suns.

Has Cox ever reached those heights Fudger?

Guessing that was before he played in finals, he was looking pretty scary until then

Finals sorts them out [emoji106]
