A remake of a European series that is carried by Sam Neil in both seasons (Jurassic Park, Omen III) with a very multicultural cast which I found unique perspective for a change. There are two seasons, with each season focusing on a single legal case. S1 is based in the city (Sydney), S2 rural Australia (WA).

I gave it a 6/10.

Has been renewed for S3.

Up to date on The Day of the Jackal and have really enjoyed it. Redmayne is excellent.

I'd put it ahead of The Penguin for things Ive watched recently, but that could be my taste for Euro, Manhunt thrillers Vs Superhero spinooffs.

Yes I binged Jackal over a couple of days, really enjoyed it.
Taut, well written and acted.
The ending really leaves it primed for a 2nd season, which I hope is as good as this first season.

If it's anywhere near as good as the book, it'll be a cracker.

Six in and this really good - highly recommended. You forget what a ****ed up time this was for Northern Ireland.

As much as I’ve enjoyed it I think a second season would be a mistake.

Was a great movie, this series well made but thought even 8 eps would’ve been enough.

As good as Redmayne is he doesn’t stroke me as ex military hit man type. Certainly not as much as Fox in the movie. I keep think Stephen Hawking as an assassin

I just want to see that campaigner with a bullet in his head.
Deserves it. Killed too many people. Poor Rasmus.

I’ve really enjoyed it but I think I agree. A second season would be just an extended cat and mouse game, or the Fugitive spread over 20 hours. Not really needed.

Yep, I finished it yesterday and can definitely recommend 'Say Nothing'. It's tricky to explain, but it's just very well made in that it does a good job to make the people/cahracters feel extremely real, without making the story so bleak - as some of the (admittedly still excellent) IRA movies have tended to do.

Extra points for including Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Nidge from 'Love/Hate') & Josh Finan (The Responder & The Gentleman) as Gerry Adams, of all people.

I also didn't know that actor Stephen Rea from The Crying Game was married for 20 years to the woman who helped blow up a London court for the IRA! She is the main character here.

Re-watching The Bear as the First Lady wasn't watching with me during my previous run of each season.

I've now realised in my re-watch that I forgot just how sumptuous a feast for the senses it is - the pastiche of colours, the dishes, the incredible soundtrack, the beautiful pacing etc. And how the "EVERY SECOND COUNTS" adage on the wall in the kitchen really provides the motto for the entire production - not a single moment or line within the show is wasted. It's just glorious.

My previous memory before the re-watch was dominated by the interactions between the characters, and that had been what I'd focused on and banged on about to anyone who cared to listen, or not. But I've now been reminded that that aspect is only one ingredient.

We've done 13 episodes in three days, so now we're up to "Fishes" for tomorrow night. God help us (IYKYK).

Finished Yellowstone Season 1. It was solid. I don't love it but can see why others might. 7.5/10.
