Pretty remarkable that the studio wouldn't consider to stop meddling after the maybe the forth failure, but continues to do so for another three films.

They think they know better would be my guess

The Six Triple Eight

New movie on Netflix that is based on a true story about the only battalion of Black Women that served in Europe in World War II. Really enjoyed it and thought Kerry Washington was great as Major Adams. 9/10

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

Not sure what this movie was trying to be. The title makes it seem like it's going to be a Goosebumps type horror for kids and a lot of the movie comes across as that.

But there are some scenes in there that definitely aren't child appropriate so not sure exactly who they were aiming it at. Nevertheless it wasn't a bad watch.

6/10

Wayne's World is one of my favourite movies of all time, GREAT shout.

Wayne's World for me tops the list of the films that given my age, sense of humor and tastes in movies I should have liked but didn't no matter how hard I tried.

I first saw it with friends when I was still in high school and we went to see it at the movies after an exam. Everyone else liked it - I couldn't stand it despite liking other films in this genre of this era like Weekend at Bernie's or the Bill and Ted movies - but the exam hadn't gone well, i figured maybe I was just in a bad mood that afternoon. I next tried to watch it on TV two years later, but again couldn't get into it and went to bed. But that was a really hot day, and I think I was tired.

Years passed and in the mid 2010s and now middle-aged, one Saturday I was having a massive dose of early 1990s nostalgia. By amazing chance Wayne's World happened to be on TV that night, so I sat down to watch it, eagerly anticipating finally being able to appreciate this movie and laugh and enjoy it. So what happened? I didn't laugh once and despised it as much as the first time I had seen it in the cinema many years earlier.

I liked Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - I thought the atrociously bad acting was deliberate and a homage to 1960s B Grade horror films when the movie takes place.

Which one? The 70s version slaps but there's been a couple of remakes.
I got around to watching the 70s version over weekend. Was great!

There was actually a couple of actors in it that I knew which was surprising. Bit of a hot take but I think it was actually more unsettling than Halloween.

Side note but this was a pretty good rundown of seminal slasher flicks (its what put me onto this and Silent Night, Deadly Night).

Bloodsport.

So bad it's good and an all time 80's classic.

Its 30 minutes too long

As part of my Xmas marathon I watched Die Hard - probably 30+ years since I watched it - and I dont think it left me with any more fascination than it did then

I dont hate it . Its a competent action movie with cartoon heroes and cartoon baddies. But I have no emotional connection that others seem to have

The lines are iconic and the interplay is ok. Its just ehh. Maybe a tighter shorter movie might have helped but its not in my top 50 movies and its not in my top 20 Xmas movies

I'm ready

Watching it right now and hope to follow it up with DH 2 straight after

It's essentially the perfect movie and with added bonus Christmas references!
