I thought it was
to juxtapose with Monstro Elisasou’s horrifically sagging, withered breasts. Very male gazey, here’s some beautiful breasts for you. Followed by YOU WANT BOOBS?! Here’s some ****iNG BOOBS followed by one being vomited out on stage 😂
. I was giggling like an idiot the whole way through that scene.

It was certainly better viewing than the close-up scene of Demi's bum.

Deadpool & Wolverine - Disney

Well it finally became free and tonight was the night

I like Ryan Reynolds and I like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and I like the TVA angle brought in by Loki

But I think Logan summed it up best '' just shut the **** up already ''

Its a good movie and the last 10 minutes are fine but getting there OMG just get on with it. The action and fight scenes were great as expected and the dialogue - colour me shocked Ryan Reynolds had a hand in writing it - was ok with many a callback and FU to previous iterations

The cameos were fine as well

But it missed - not by much but it missed. Maybe I need to watch it again but that wont be for a few years .

Best bit was the credit scene to be honest

How's this for a run of bad films. How does this even happen?
I am SOLELY on my own here but i really didnt think After Earth was THAT bad.

To be clear it wasn’t good, I just think it was a perfectly acceptable throw away sci fi action/adventure.

Blink Twice

So Zoe Kravitz really does her best Jordan Peele impersonation and it’s okay… the plot devices are pretty contrived and I found the resolution to the story to be truly bizarre but all the performances are pretty good (Channing Tatum is really really good, I never thought I’d say that about a serious film).

It just felt like something was missing but I don’t know what.

Windfall

I recently got into Shrinking and enjoyed Winning Time so realized I was a fan of Jason Segel. He stars in this alongside Jesse Plemons and Lilly Collins (son of Phil). They carry the film well. Plemons steals scenes a little Lots of tension and you're not quite sure who you're barracking for. It reminds me a bit of the Coen brothers. Like an episode of Fargo or something. Pretty simple thriller that wasn't too long at about 90 minutes. 6/10.

Unless she's transitioned Lily is Phil's daughter

Glad to hear that. Have seen the show more times than I care to admit but I was worried they weren't going to do it justice.
Gah it’s so wonderful. Johnathan Bailey needs to be the leading man in every rom com from here on out! Alternatively I will take Jeff Goldblum. Can never have too much Jeff Goldblum.

I was more confused by people being confused by Inception, the mechanics of it are pretty easy to follow IMO not to mention it is explained in explicit detail by exposition dumps ALOT.

This isnt a flex by the way, Tenet confused the shit out of me and Primer i still dont get, Inception just didnt seem that complex to me.
My hands up, Inception confused me, enjoyed it though.

the not very great 'troll'

you've kind of seen it before. giant creature, plucky scientist with a dead misunderstood dad, disagrees with the government on how to deal with it.

There actually is a really good Troll movie, I forget the name, it may well be Trolls or whatever but it's off Hollywood, came out quite a few years ago. Sort of mystery, sci fi, found footage all blended together. ****ing loved it.

Basically three young ones investigate the legend of Trolls and hook up with an actual seasoned grisly Troll hunter.

been a while but i enjoyed it

Gladiator II - I love the 2000 film a lot less than other people (it's fine, no more or less than that) and seemed less bothered by this than some others. It's dumb, yes, but I thought it pretty consistently entertaining throughout. In particular, arena scenes and whenever Denzel gets to mug it up were pretty enjoyable. The CGI is often pretty bad (I'm not sure that Ridley Scott has ever seen a baboon if this is how he depicts them). Paul Mescal's proven himself pretty quickly to be a great actor (Normal People, Aftersun and All of Us Strangers are all beautiful performances), but I think he's miscast here. I also found the ending pretty funny, with
his rousing speech about saving Rome and making it great, only for it to historically be on the verge of total collapse.

High and Low (1963) - I'd seen most of Akira Kurosawa's films but this has been an oversight, despite having one of the best reputations. It's a bit difficult to speak on too much - it's pretty great, unsurprisingly! I loved that it constantly shifted and kept the audience off guard (I'd recommend it to people knowing as little as possible about the plot, as I loved how it just unwound and surprised).
