Just want to say. Saw him play in the finals and he was an absolute wall in defence. Seriously didn’t see him lose a one v one. In the Cal Wilkie mould. Keep adding the dragons to the squad.
Don't the sandy Dragons train at Moorabbin? The recruiters must see those players more often then others.

So if your parents emigrated from the uk in 2002 had a kid straight away and he/she is now as Aussie as hell then that qualifies as an NGA?!
Yes?

I mean, Indigenous players are also "as Aussie as hell."

But I know what you mean the nga rules about foreign Parents are a bit strange. I think at least it should be Non-Westernised countries but I don't suppose you can put that politically acceptable way.

Gee I hope that didn't come across wrong!

Just meant it would be odd,
Technically I could've been an nga under those rules

I know nothing about it tbh hence my question

Here’s 3 video’s from his hudl page, #34

McLennan isn't indigenous. We all know the indigenous players are Australian.

The rules are Indigenous OR ...........

A brilliant story Im so pleased for the kid and evidence that our NGA system does actually work. Credit to Nick Dal Santo and co for getting him to this stage.

Yes it now works, probably is that from now on we are very unlikely to get any real fruit from it as we cannot match selections on anyone decent in future drafts. So anyone we pick up will have question marks.

Back on Angus, I have real hope that due to his injures that he may have slipped through to being a Cate B for us, and that he has real talent and ability.

I fhe turns into a player for us, it is the type of bonus that we really need.

Good to see an NGA academy player attending Scotch College. I thought NGA was established for more challenged socio-economic groups that needed an environment like the Saints or other AFL side to support and guide the young men.

Clearly I got it wrong.

Happy for the lad as he gets a chance and as an old boy of Scotch am proud as well.

Go Saints....and Scotch

Like Windy at Hailybury, Peris at Melbourne Grammar , Jamara Scotch , CMac Brighton the whole NGA system is a joke.

Schools still give athletically gifted kids scholarships despite saying that they don’t. Most probably wouldn’t go if not for their sporting talent.
