Nah he belongs on the thin side creating space where there isn't any, not waiting on the far side for other people to do what is necessary first.

Actually think that’s Liam Baker’s role if he comes to us tbh.

He’s played mainly HBF so far but that role honestly is just ideally suited to Baker’s strengths imo.

They’ll still be room for Simpson in the best 22 elsewhere.

This might be their approach anyways, but I reckon they should give Simpson a 3-5 match licence to play regardless.

I'd want him to play to his strengths as a focus of his plan. Number one being what he's already been successful at the level, the ability to win the disputed ball and then clear the area by taking on the opposition with his fantastic footwork and link up transition into the forward line. Also have a ping or two as well.

Both he and Voss had a great debut, but Simpson's debut was slightly better IMO -- he was more damaging with fewer touches, and he made our midfield-forward connection better (something we've been poor at historically.

With Amis back in I reckon Voss will be the unlucky one this week (a pity, as he put in a great performance and doesn't deserve to be dropped.) Simpson however I would keep in, even as a sub again if necessary. Seeing as it's Richmond next up, we're going to need all the damaging foot speed we can bring to the table.

Agree. Simpson likely the sub again. But won’t be long before he is starting 18 as he gets himself more involved. Loved his composure in the last quarter.

Liked Voss’ game. Has shown a lot more than Corbett ever did (granted Corbett was hampered by that hip injury). Corbett ticks off the good guy box and if he (and partner) like Perth he can get himself a contract at Peel and keep involved at the women’s team but he should be delisted to open up a primary list spot.

I think there's a chance Emmett might be sub and Simpson plays the whole game. I don't mind Emmett as sub to be honest because I think he could make an impact as a sub.

This guy is going to be a weapon for us.

Deft sidestep at pace, handpasses to advantage over a distance , breakaway speed and can kick goals from 50.

I hope he gets a full game tomorrow to strut his stuff at the MCG.

I am sure it would have been a childhood dream of his.
He could be that class we are needing in front of the sticks.
