The ICC has also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

Israel says they'll take measure to prevent public displays of joy.

Within Israel. It's part of the ceasefire deal, a condition made so the images can't be used all over Israel to inflame Israelis/their families these prisoners have really hurt

Jakobi also told prisoners earmarked for release to “refrain from expressions of joy within Israel.”

Israel tear gasses media.

Journalsts are in the thick of it but I'd like to see this

Israel says stuff to justifying tear gassing people.

There's three prisons people are being released from. Just because CNN didnt see a Hamas flag at one doesn't mean it wasn't at another.

See where this is going?

My critical views of the actions of Israel would be the antithesis of wanting violence to continue.

I said "killing".

Didn't they teargas West Bank?

She was a freelancer, arrested for incitement in North Jerusalem and detained on the West Bank at Ofer. The same charges the PA is arresting journalists for.

I'm glad she's been released though, that probably could have been managed much better and without detainment.

The 'incitement' charges are very sketchy if you read about them.

There’s no mood in Israel to be “kind” to people who hate them. It’s way too dangerous. Not like here where grubs can say anything they like and law enforcement analyses audio for weeks to determine which slur was used and some “threshold” isn’t quite met so nothing is ever done.

So how’s this ceasefire going so far? Are we getting closer to that two-state nirvana yet?

I guess not.

There's plenty of Israeli settlers continuing the violence against the Palestinians already.

There's plenty advocating for more violence in Israel.

It would be stupid to pretend it's one-sided against an occupying power.

Footage shows dozens of Israeli settlers hurling stones and Molotov cocktails into the Palestinian village of Turmusaya.

Roughly half a dozen villages are reportedly targeted by settlers in separate attacks throughout the West Bank overnight in what Palestinian media is referring to as raids aimed at protesting the hostage deal widely rejected by the Israeli far-right.

I think they were bussed out of Ofer.

Ahead of the return of the Israeli hostages, the IPS bussed the first round of Palestinian prisoners to Ofer Prison in the West Bank, where Israeli security forces and Red Cross representatives verified each prisoner’s identity and performed medical checks on them before releasing them in coordination with security forces and the government.

The prisoners include 78 West Bank residents, released at the Beitunia Checkpoint near Ofer Prison.

The remaining 12 East Jerusalem residents were transported back to the city and released back to their homes from the Russian Compound detention center.

As I said, it’s a no.

Why not release the Bibas family first? I am fearful that Hamas will keep them as long as possible, for increased leverage and psychological cruelty. No one knows if they’re still alive.

I’m still very sceptical that all or even many live hostages will be released; having no hostages would expose Hamas to a level of retribution not yet seen.

It's been known for 12 months most of the Bibas family were killed by IDF bombing, there's a video of the father telling everyone.

Who told you that?

There's video of Hamas telling the father his wife and children had been killed/murdered so they could film his reaction.

It was torture.

No proof they're dead either, maybe they were lying.

That just proves my point.

This ceasefire deal is so fragile, high and angry emotions are not limited to one side.

Either side could set it off. Boom!
Then maybe teargas the settlers and not the crowd and media

Another not Israeli friend on holidays in Israel around three years ago, drove his hire car in to the wrong area and it was heavily pelted with stones. Wrecked the car.

Of course, up against bullets there's not a comparison but I'm just saying, stones aren't as ineffective as some think they are.
I assume they had Israeli plates on? Would not have free right of passage if Palestinian plates.
