Israel is the occupying power in the West Bank, but Gaza Israel just has obligations under the laws of occupation that are commensurate to its effective control (mostly, but not entirely, related to the blockade).

I did not say "Gaza could not be considered occupied at all". The status of Gaza post withdrawal is not settled, but under the functional model the ICRC and ICJ take, Israel has some responsibilities toward Gaza under the laws of occupation.

I'm merely pointing out, it's ridiculous you call it blockaded at all. No one anywhere considers Palestine to be blockaded. Calling it blockaded is a deliberate attempt to lessen the severity of the atrocities enacted by Israel currently.
BTW, no one here is disputing the occupation is occurring in the traditional format. This isn't the 1960s, tech and military might has come a long way and boots on the ground is no longer a necessary function of an occupation. Hence evey western nation considers it to be occupied territory. Well, except Trump.
