Current WAR CRIMES Israel Hamas Conflict Pt 2 - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

Here is PART 1

The ICC has also issued warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

Given the efforts made to conflate pro-Palestinian protests with 'Hamas sympathisers' I have zero faith that this won't be broadly and incorrectly applied, especially against people of colour.
Of course it wont, this is nothing more than an anti-Israeli cover sheet.

This and one million times this. This is exactly why I am so dumbfounded that people have the gall to blame Palestinians for the war in 1947. They got invaded and told to pack up and leave, then when they said no they were murdered in mass.

But hey, 5 years earlier The Jewish population in Europe were also mass murdered so **** the Palestinians right? I mean, they lived in small huts and are brown of skin, so what does it matter.

The ****ing nerve of people.
Read a book. This is an even more revisionist version of history than the stuff Lunchlady comes out with. It's incredibly wrong on multiple levels. No wonder you're mad if you were tricked into believing it.

Do you realise Palestinian rights activists and anti genocide protesters including many jews are being labelled Hamas sympathisers?

They might be labelled Hamas sympathizers by some over social media but which won't be enough to have someone legally deported by the US government.

Without the Palestinians taking them in nobody else would. Hell even the early Zionists cooperated with Nazis " Third Reich" at one stage within the Haavara agreement which was to help facilitate Jewish emigration from Germany into Palestine.

What's wrong about it?

The land was for those that lived on it! The Palestinian population was ~10% Jewish when Balfour made his declaration.

You don't just get to call dibs on someone's land, then drive the inhabitants out to create your ethnostate, and expect everything to go smoothly.

It's a very British-landing-in-Australia viewpoint I guess

Have you seen Stephen Miller? He'd be the guy who deports any person of colour for anything.

Trump doubled the support of black voters from 2020.

He didn't hide it that he would cancel the visas of and deport Hamas supporters and sympathisers and like it or not, this is what they voted for.

People voting against their best interests is hardly new.

It's not much of a defence against a law that will almost certainly be misused.

I've seen enough from people of colour over social media expresing their satisfaction at Trump following through so quickly on his election promises, to understand they knew what they were voting for.

The vote of the majority for his policies, is the only defence.

Intelligent people can do this too:

I mean, they voted for mass deportation of illegal immigrants. If you want to include those that support Hamas in that then sure.

I think it's a bit insulting.

Not really, politicians rely on it on, particularly the major parties. Trump is just more egregious in his willingness to lie, and the people around him more egregious in their willingness to discriminate.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have zero faith this law (along with many others) won't be misused to target immigrants (or anyone who looks like an immigrant).

African-Americans are currently in a weird space where they're not being treated the way immigrant POC are, but if the Stephen Millers of the administration get their way, I have little doubt they'll come under attack.

If you have a watermelon on your tee-shirt you support Hamas according to Trump's government also wide sections of Democrats before him as well. If you're against Palestinians only aid group in Gaza being defunded during a genocide you're a Hamas supporter. People are losing their jobs because of this. It's all rubbish

They shouldn't do it IMO.

I agree, they shouldn't, but they do, and some do it in a far more extreme way than others.

The US system is quite poor because it doesn't really allow for independents and it's not particularly representative, so you're locked in to voting for one of two major parties and in a number of states your vote doesn't even particularly matter. e.g. Republican voters in California.

Trump also won the Latino and Hispanic vote, they're coming out over social media as well. I'll assume by "coloured people" you also meant Latino and Hispanic.

My uncomfortability with it, was that you did it. I trust my son in law knows what he's voting for and to his benefit.

His vote, not mine.

Did what? Suggested it was common for people to vote against their self-interests?

I don't know what issues he voted on, so I couldn't say whether Trump will achieve any of the things your SIL has deemed vote winning policies.

Trump is flooding the zone with such a mountain of bullshit that he'll slip through a number of anti-democratic changes that will harm the poorest and most vulnerable and benefit the richest and most powerful. He's picked the 'easy' targets first; illegal immigrants and transgender people.
