VFL team list are now done and submitted so for some reason if a listed player decided to leave with the blessing from his club can he be replaced or only mid season when the draft is to replace long term injured players?

Most teams are able to access local players up until end of June

Round 1 is spectator free (vs Sandringham on Fri Apr 16 at 12oon) other than that ok i think

What's the reason this is being played at noon on a working day and is spectator free? Its only semi professional with half the players and all of the umpires being part time with jobs.

Also an announcement on an expanded broadcasting deal for VFL. Up to 5 games per week on 3 different platforms
Channel 7/7mate to expand to 2 games per week
1 on a Thursday night and 1 on a weekend/ 1 to be in Victoria, 1 to be in NSW or Qld each week
First Thursday night game GWS vs Footscray at Blacktown in Round 2
1 game on Fox Footy each week
2 games on Kayo Sports each week

A putrid 2nd qtr let the Zebras down and they were never in it after that. They did well to hang in their in the 2nd half because a triple figure margin was on the cards. Richmond's AFL depth will be hard to match; Ross and Coleman-Jones stood out to me although I was only half watching. McKernan had 23 and 4 for the Zebras.

Any danger of this comp having a website where you can access scores and stats? Both the SANFL & WAFL have great websites with all the relevant stats. all you can get is a pdf of the fixture. Pretty poor especially when games have started today...

To the AFL's credit, this page (which doubles as a VFLW website) is an improvement on the old website that hadn't been updated in months. But the big thing lacking is an updated live scores/results section. Looks as if they won't bother updating the results of the round here until Monday mornings, which is poor.

Humiliating performance from Coburg, sprayed their shots in the first qtr and were utterly dominated from then on. Not sure they touched the ball at all in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
