Yeah it was not pretty at times, especially in front of goal. It'll improve as the season goes on, I think.
was mentioned on the coverage that season goal kicking was below 540% in 2024 and cost games. Maybe just achilles heel that needs to be a focus

Biggest thing tonight for mine was how mature across the board Frankston was. I think only Taj at 20 was the youngest. We had mature bodies as bookends, the three pronged tiger in attack all mature bodies and the midfield bats as deep as I can recall any Dolphins side for 15 years.

Just need those bloody small fads to be on the move and who knows what the group could achieve

What can I say about the game at North Port Oval. Frankston failed to kick a goal after half time, kicked 17 behinds in a row and still won. Good crowd good atmosphere and the playing surface is unbelievable.

Shocking advertisement for VFL footy , would love to know the turnovers from Port and credit to Franga who had so much more outside run and should've won by 5 goals

Turnovers, dropped marks poor delivery all inexcusable from Port. Frankston thoroughly deserved the win - hope of Borough rising quickly fading on the terraces.

I thought the opposite, goal kicking aside, it was tremendously tough, run and carry from Frankston was great and the transition was great from a second tier side.

Port obviously have a lot of personnel changed from even last year, they could come good but the former AFL listers they are banking on weren't great imho. Van Ess seemed to hurry alot, Lazzarro had a lot of the ball but didn't think he was hugely influential, Philp was underwhelming.

Think last night's result said more about Frankston than I did about Port if you know what I mean?.. Think the easy beat days may be over, a very good side like Southport could do a number on them but they look very even across the board

I see Brendan McCartney has bought in great “attacking flair” to the Burra with 4 goals kicked in perfect weather. Seems a very similar result to North Ballarat last year in the Ballarat Football League who struggled to kick 10 goals or more in games. Won’t take the Burra faithful long to work out how this 3 year appointment is going to go - will thoroughly enjoy this journey

We'll see what happens when we venture up to Queenland this year. Coburg almost beat Southport on their home turf. They're not invincible.

I said Franga were good . Ports turnovers were pathetic and it was a constant

apologies mate, hat fwd group for Port seems very mis-mash

Forward line is our weakest part of the ground which was proven by the little return in our inside 50 entries.

Boned why do you dislike Port so much that you wish failure upon them ?

Didn’t say you did mate, that’s why i put the nickname of the person it was directed to at the start of the question- Boned.

No need to apologise but thanks all the same. Met some cool Frankston people over the years except for the guy that bet a 6 pack against my mate that Frankston would beat port back in the days when Frankston hardly won a game and then refused to pay up !!! How un Australian!!! Ah how the times have changed, their was a time Port would thump Frankston by sometimes over 100 points now we go to church do our cross and hope they kick 17 points straight to not humiliate us on the scoreboard!!
