The state league teams have 22 players that were not rated high enough to be on an AFL list. The players in a bottom 4 AFL side are all rated highly enough to be on an AFL list.
if the state league footballers could beat the full timers, they wouldn't be state league footballersFull time AFL teams, even the bottom team, would easily beat a team of part time state league footballers. That's not being disrespectful, just realistic.

Well said, no idea why it comes upI wish the constant comparison to AFL teams would end. Yes, the VFL is a development pathway so questions of how the best players stack up against AFL players will be inevitable, but the best state league team doesn't need to beat an AFL team because they're not in the AFL.
People have nothing better to do in their livesWell said, no idea why it comes up
if the state league wins can we get decent camera operators and commentators???What would be more interesting is all the best players from the WAFL, SANFL and VFL (The State League All Stars) play the wooden spooner from the previous year. If the AFL team loses, Kelli Underwood and Derm commentate all of their games for the next season…
Yeah that and they can make the VFL a proper competition again by supporting the stand alones properlyif the state league wins can we get decent camera operators and commentators???
Wouldn’t go that far your VFL side beat our AFL side in Round 1 this year.Full time AFL teams, even the bottom team, would easily beat a team of part time state league footballers. That's not being disrespectful, just realistic.
They've been competitive so far. I think they'll challenge a fair few teams this year. Hopefully they get the reward for doing good for their community.Coburg v Carlton on May 4 round 6 is Vicki Cleary Day. This annual match honours the life of Vicki Cleary and raises awareness around domestic violence. I'll definitely be at that match ,should be a huge crowd. Entry to this game is free. Burgers doing good things for the community. Hopefully onfield success follows.

Willy's list is far too good to be 1-3 and a percentage that's currently ~72% (with live scores at 3QT)What the hell is happening at Williamstown? I figured Coburg would be competitive this year but didn't think they'd beat Willy, let alone give them a hiding.
Thrilling finish in the Brisbane vs Collingwood game. Scores level when the siren goes, Brisbane kick a point after the siren to win the game.
The spotlight or whatever it is behind the goals left of screen annoying as hell on broadcastMassive crowd tonight here at Frankston
Williamstown have like nearly half of their best side out so if there was a time for Coburg to beat them it was todayWilly's list is far too good to be 1-3 and a percentage that's currently ~72% (with live scores at 3QT)
