Yeah, I'm definitely doing BusMan 3&4 next year but am wondering whether to do 4 or 5 subjects in year 12. Gives me slightly more time to study in year 12 with the 4, but with the 5 I've got a little boost available which could come in handy. Probably stressing uneccesarily here...

Some schools allow you to do two 3/4s in yr 11, and so you only have to do four in yr 12. Or if you only do one 3/4 in yr 11, you have the option of doing only four in yr12.

Nearly got all the references for my year 11 subjects.

General Maths 1+2
Maths Methods 1+2
Visual Communication 1+2
Physical Education 1+2
Info Tech 1+2
Biology 1+2
English 1+2

and year 12

Maths Methods 3+4
Physical Education 3+4
English 3+4
Biology 3+4
Business Management 3+4

Would have done IT and Vis Com instead of a few subjects above but apparently they get marked down heaps with your ENTER score.

What does external VCE examination mean?

It mentions it in the description for the Business Management course

Year 11

English 1/2
General B maths 1/2
20th Century History 1/2
Geography 3/4
Economics 1/2
Legal Studies 1/2

I have a few queries for year 12 subjects;
Considering dropping Math all together for INternational Studies which gets scaled up high I think or Accounting.
So my question is, is it worth dropping amths if your preffered course at university doesnt require any maths as a prerequsite?

So my 12 subject choices will probably look like this;

English 3/4
History Revolutions 3/4 (does this get scaled up much?)
Legal Studies 3/4
Economics 3/4
Further Maths 3/4 or International Studies 3/4

So yeah worth dropping maths or bad idea?

Changed my mind again but this should be final.

Year 11:
English 1/2
Maths Methods 1/2
General Maths B 1/2
Accounting 1/2
I.T Technology Cert 3 1/2
Business Management 3/4

Year 12:
English 3/4
Maths Methods 3/4
Specialist Maths 3/4
Accounting 3/4
I.T Technology Cert 3 3/4

chargers 09.

If you drop Math in year 12, then your options cut dramtically. But if you know what you want to be and positive you want to do it and then doesn't need maths for it.

If you change your mind and you did maths, there are heaps of options available still.

Hey guys, I'm in YR12 (VCE) and I'm studying:
English (mainstream)
Maths Methods
Further Maths
Business Management
Legal Studies

I did Accounting 3/4 in YR11 last year and got 37 raw (so probably 38 scaled) which I was pretty happy with considering I got a low A+ in my SACs, A in mid-year and B+ in the end-of-year exams.

If anyone needs advice in regards to subject selections or if you just want to have a chat about your education/school in general then just send me a PM, or post here and I'd
be more than happy to.

Cheers, The 30 Spartans.
