Vegas is crap. Will never go back there. Driving in an around Vegas was the bee's knees although. Was a real eye opener. Couldn't believe the amount of people residing in caravans 200-300 metres off the main highway about an hour before hitting Vegas coming in from Arizona direction.

Interesting mate, very helpful.

I've just purchased tickets to the NBA and was able to save over $200 for 4x tickets compared to my previous quotes which includes Stub Hub.

Purchasing tickets to the NHL is only marginally cheaper than two other quotes I received, but the cheapest remains Stub Hub by far (saving $160 for the four tickets).

FWIW, this is the confirmation page via Stub Hub showing $86 AUD.

Initially it would appear as though you get a similar price at Vivid, as per below...

However, when you go to pay, they add a crazy amount of fees (an extra $195 AUD).

It's strange they add these fees for the NHL but not the NBA. Must have something to do with their contract with those specific leagues.

Does anyone know if Stub Hub charges similar fees?
I just purchased NBA tix to NY & Boston in April via SH & the fees were 20-30%. Couldn’t be arsed shopping around but the tix are good & like how you get a view of your seat pre purchase.

Took heaps of photos, but universal studios was pretty cool. Massive nerdgasms .

The new theme park opening up in orlando will have a super nintendo world twice as big as the california one. Anyone thinking of going then very much consider going to the orlando one rather then california. And super nintendo world doesnt even look like being the best world in the new park. Dark universe looks amazing.

How busy was Nintendo world ? We were there 18 months ago , think it had been open for 3 .
You had to pre book and pay VIP to get in . Was an extra $800 aud for us as a family ......

I thought HP world was actually better .
Was pretty busy. Although we went there on a public holiday (we had no idea it was a public holiday lol)

$800 wow. To each their own.

Damn I miss the theme parks. Cedar Point ftw.

We were there for 5 hours from noon to 5pm
With a fast pass I did 20 rides.

Was so ****ing sick at the end of the day. Overloaded with adrenaline.
Yep . Your in a rock and hard place when it's the main thing your kids wantes to do ( due to the movie ) and you might not come back . No advertising or warning either.
They would have made truckloads out of overseas visitors like us

Anyone got any advice the place on where you stay in LA? There for a week, no idea what to do. Is it worth going to SF or San Diego or is there enough to see & do in LA?. If there’s NBA on I’ll go to that, but what are your must do’s outside of that?? TIA

Depends what you're after. I've only done a little bit of what I'd like to do there but last time stayed in West Hollywood which is a cool enough area for bars etc.
I stayed a bit further down a couple years ago at a hostel which was different, rougher area but I walked down Beverley Bvd, Sunset etc. Also walked to The Grove shopping precinct which was cool.
NFL was great at SoFi. Would have liked to get to new NBA arena for a game.

I love the architecture of so many of the homes in LA. It's so beautiful in its own way.

You can do Runyon Canyon or the Griffith Observatory hike which are both really good fun and have awesome views.
I've walked from Venice to Santa Monica Pier twice which is also pretty cool.

Go through Hollywood for a look. The Universal Studios tour is something I would love to do. I watched a movie at the TCL Chinese Theatre there and had the cinema to myself to see Napoleon.

Downtown there isn't a heap but there's a bit around from what I've read.
