Are you kidding?

Democrats and large sections of the media first labelled anyone questioning the 2020 election as 'election denialists'. This despite the Democrats having a long history of questioning election results themselves. Then once the mid-terms approached the level of rhetoric increased to "Election Deniers Are A Threat To Democracy".

No one was claiming that "just questioning results alone is a threat to Democracy".
It was one of the parts of the whole that in some cases could imply a threat to democracy.
Jan 6 for example.

But after a handful of posts this "just questioning results alone is a threat to Democracy" will be deemed as me moving the goalposts. And that the goalposts were actually "When Trump questioned the election results, while refusing to accept the results, and spreading lies about fake ballots etc etc it was deemed a threat to democracy". Or "No, it's true, people were being called election denialists!"

Either way, it will be me moving the goalposts.

And then me apologising for not being clear enough with my language. And blah blah.

So, we good?

Not Elon though eh? The government handouts keep rolling and then some, which I imagine was much of the point for him.

But yes probably, while certain other parties find themselves ready to make out like bandits. But you don't care about that any more because now its your guys doing it (see above).

Yes, in response to a request by GoEaglesGoSGIO as he desperately tried to avoid talking about something particularly silly he'd said. Thanks I'll give it read - in contrast to MAGA I'm totally open to learning something a preferred prez did might not have been as great as its champions framed it.
Bill gates eager to secure some funding. This time he apparently has a cure for HIV and instead of going all in with his immense personal wealth to end the scourge of humanity he is seeking handouts. No doubt he will make sure the patents are upheld so the poorest people will never have access to it.

I understand that this is obviously me moving the goalposts.

The problem is that I view "questioning election results" and 'denying the election results' as different things.

You view them as the same thing, right?

Read #6,051 more carefully and get back to me. I'm not repeating myself.

Of course.

#6,047 You said "I guess questioning election results is not a "threat to Democracy" any more then eh?".
#6,050 I replied to #6,047 saying "When has just questioning results ever been deemed as the "threat to Democracy"??".

And then in post #6,051 you replied to #6,050 saying "Are you kidding?", "labelled anyone questioning the 2020 election as 'election denialists'.".

And I can see that it is in your very post, where you changed it from 'questioning the election' to 'election denialists'... That that was obviously where I moved the goalposts.

So I apologise.
And I'm sorry for you having to repeat yourself.

I’d love to see a proper audit of the 2024 election ballots. There’s next to no chance that this will happen with the RINOS and Dems controlling both the House and Senate.

It would be great but you are right. It'll never happen. the idiocy of people claiming Musk rigged PA is priceless. This is the snippet from Trump's DC Victory Rally that has sent the most deranged members of the left into a frenzied spiral.

TRUMP: "And he knows those computers better than anybody. All those computers, those vote-counting computers." So the implication is somehow Musk rigged the count. The computers are just counting whatever has been cast. The ironic thing is that one of Musk's roles was STOP election fraud. I think Cleta Mitchell an election attorney from the Election Integrity Network put it best. She was also at Trump's side in Georgia in 2020.

“We haven’t fixed everything in elections that the leftists spent billions of dollars breaking. But at least we know what to watch for in 2024. And we will be watching”. Elon was an integral part of that I believe.

Further to this, Trump made the following statement on October 30th while Musk was in PA. TRUMP: "Law Enforcement is all over the GREAT Commonwealth of Pennsylvania looking at, and for, VOTER FRAUD!"

This was followed the next day with the following. TRUMP: "We caught them CHEATING BIG in Pennsylvania. Must announce and PROSECUTE, NOW! This is a CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF THE LAW. STOP VOTER FRAUD! CHECK OUT KAMALA'S NEW SLEAZEBAG LAWYER. WE ARE ON THEM ALL THIS TIME! Who would have ever thought that our Country is so CORRUPT?"

How much of this was hyperbole and bluster I don't know but I think if the Democrats were planning anything shady I think this dampened their enthusiasm considerably. Kamala ended up with 13 million less votes than decrepit sleepy Joe which is pretty significant I think.

Inauguration will begin at 4am AEDT tomorrow morning.
Thank you for the timely reminder, ET. I have updated my avatar to commemorate this significant occasion.

Upon arrival at the Mensa after-party, security personnel will request the password to grant entry. The code is "covfefe." God speed.

Sen-bloody-sational m8. With the Village People and Snoop Dogg performing at inaugural events, the celebration is nothing short of extraordinary.

Elon's involvement further solidifies the coalition of sustainable energy advocates, space nerds, peace-loving hippies, and diverse communities including the LGBT and African American demographics. Trump has managed to unite them all. I find myself sympathising with the small minority still hesitant to embrace this transformative era. As their lives improve in the coming months and years, I trust their apprehensions and misplaced rage will naturally diminish over time.

Pardoned at 3:30 am Washington Time.

Does Biden even know that he pardoned these people?

A pardon for crimes not yet investigated is unusual and legally questionable. It doesn't mean that the crimes can't be investigated and the individuals subpoenaed to give evidence in a legal proceeding. Of course, the individuals might plead the Fifth Amendment but it's not a good look if they wish to have a future government career. If the pardon holds up legally, the individuals can't be punished under the law but they can have their security clearances withdrawn.

It also sets a terrible precedent. A US president might say to his people to feel free to break any law because he will pardon them before he leaves office.

The Democrats are truly evil. This is a disgusting precedent set by Bidens handlers.

I'm sure he did for some but in general he doesn't know half the stuff he's signing.
