Not sure what your point is. Reagan's was held indoors too. In fact the inauguration ceremony was routinely held indoors until the Capitol building was damaged in the Civil War. Do you think it's a good idea to have thousands of people standing in the cold for 7 hours?

This is what happened at Obama's and it wasn't as cold as forecast for Monday.

Some people have been sent to hospitals, according to NPR's Laura Sullivan. She says the first aid tent in the middle of the Mall is filled with people suffering from the effects of the cold. A few people came to the tent unconscious.

"Same and colder" GMAFB. It's forecast to be the second coldest ever. The only one colder was Reagan's and that was held indoors. Mind you there had also been an assassination attempt on Reagan's life before his second inauguration.

The moving of the Inauguration the event was moved indoors due to security concerns.

Trump was very concerned but kept on holding rally's as covid was spreading like wild fire I recall.

You have to assume based on all available evidence, that Trump is too old, too weak, and too scared of low numbers.

We know it's not out of concern for the attendees, as it's well documented that he's never cared about the people attending his rallies. Just their numbers.


So it's a mix of him being just not physically able to do it, and fear that the weather will embarrass him more than his first 'record breaking crowd' photos, due to low turnout.
