Having lived in Alice Springs for 22 years, I can guarantee that I know a lot more Americans than the average Australian. And I can tell you that the vast majority that I know are very happy that Trump was elected. This thing about giving a shit about the feelings of the demented is a massive laugh. Think I get the gist of what you're saying, but it wasn't easy. The American population in Alice Springs is largely ex-service. Whether you like it or not, they are largely happy Trump won. I'll recount an interesting tid bit that I've posted before and was very surprising to me at the time.
