This is quite significant news that’s slipped through the cracks the last few days given the spotlight on the Real Madrid match. Very important though for the next few seasons for Arsenal.

A shame for Tierney that he didn’t get his moment, was clearly offside on replay. He’s done incredibly well to be now playing meaningful minutes these last few months. He’ll be needed again at the Bernabeu.

Lots of rotation again which is nice to see from Arteta. Thought Sterling could at least take some minutes on the left. Raya’s passing is outstanding.

Looked to me Partey’s substitution was precautionary. Jorginho not though. That looked very painful, rib cage injury. Ouch.

Shit performance
Next season let's go for 38 draws
Watch Madrid put 4 past us in the blink of an eye

Disappointing to not keep winning... Winning form is good form.

But the game against real is the one that matters.

Yes that’s the clear priority that’s been reflected in Arteta’s selection this morning, and last weekend against Everton. The champions league is the focus and Arsenal don’t quite as yet have the quality of depth capable of challenging on both fronts (yet).

The chances were certainly there to win it. Saka I thought took too many touches when he dispossessed Flekken, a few minutes after conceding a sloppy goal to Wissa. Needed to get the shot off quicker.

Whilst in the closing minutes Jorginho’s rib injury meant we finished the game with 10 men (when really, they could’ve very easily been down to 10 in the first half with that potential leg breaker scissor tackle on Martinelli). Then again what is violent conduct anymore, a question I’ve pondered numerous times over the course of the last few seasons.

Rice’s running power is a sight to behold. Hopefully Partey is ok to start at the Bernabeu. The way he, Rice and MLS bossed the midfield areas was key to that win again Real Madrid. They couldn’t keep up with the overload. If Arsenal can replicate something similar, overrun and overpower them in midfield, yes please.

Just for context, are these concerns you’ve listed ahead of the second leg? Or discussion points in general?

Genuine questions. The tie is far from over and if anyone can rapid fire level the aggregate score, it Madrid at the Bernabeu.

They own this competition for a reason.

I don’t get any sense of complacency from Arteta or the club so am curious where that question comes from.

I'm hoping we put in another good shift
I hoping for a draw unlike the premier league where we have too many

Way too many draws unfortunately, and not being able to convert even half of them into 3 points. For a host of reasons, the goals have dried up this season, Arsenal will likely finish considerably lower than last seasons goals for tally.

Being able to convert dominance/control of the ball into putting it into the back of the next will surely be a priority. Not just adding that striker in the transfer market, but also I’d like to see more creativity invested in as well. The low/mid blocks are a known way to stifle Arsenal in the premier league and that’s not going to change anytime soon, they’ll continue to set up that way. The onus is on Arsenal to overcome that.

In a strange way, Real Madrid were almost the better match up for this current Arsenal side in the champions league. Coming up against Simeone’s Atletico would’ve been very different. Trying to score against them would’ve been very hard to do.

Do you have to get normal stan to be able to get Stan sports?

From my understanding mate, yes. You can’t just purchase the sports option, they need you to sign up for a basic package then add the sports. Free trial is another option incase you haven’t used that up already.

Was looking at Stan sport and it doesn't really have much to offer (to me anyways) other then champions league.

Haven't done any free trial with Stan so that's a possibility... Was thinking for when the final is on to watch arsenal win 😉😊😊😊
