I think you missed the point that Purcell was BOG in the final for Vic Metro.
Agree that his skills can be improved - but this is a lot easier than improving athleticism (which is often natural).
I have seen him play quite a few games over the years in the YDJFL and he pretty much dominated every game i have seen.

Seen Mullins and Buckley play a few games for Ivanhoe Grammar this year. They certainly didn't dominate (and IG got thrashed in both).

Mullins looked too short , Buckley is growing and looks more of an AFL possible.

I play footy in Mullins and Buckley's school team the reason they didnt dominate was the team doesent give them a enough support we are really a two man team. Which games did you watch?

Mullins sounds like a bit of a d1k then. On scholarship and doesnt wanna play firsts? Does he not realise that school football is a lot more important than club football on a sunday. I can guarentee than you wont get drafted out of club footy but you will out of school football. I have heard a bit about him and have seen him play in yarra and stuff and no doubt he is one of the more domineering players but wrong attitude will result in no draft.

I go to school with Mullins and he is on schollarship to play firsts footy when he is old enough it can be incredibaly dangerous for a year 9 to play against year 11 and 12's he could ruin his career in a game of firsts footy he will probley play next year

One against Marcellin and one against Trinity - big losses both times for Ivanhoe.

this is the final squad to go to sydney

Goes to my school. Big kid. :thumbsu:

blair cronin is an absolute freak, will go a long way:thumbsu:
hes a medium sized midfielder with a big build, has exceptional foot skills on both feet and can take a great mark, one to watch in the future..

Have friends at school that play with him at Doutta Stars. They say he is built like a brick, all muscle, and can take nice hangars and kick mutliple goals. Another one I used to play footy with is Jordan Kelly, good player, works hard through the midfield and loves getting in and under, fitness is top notch and a nice left foot kick.

Goldsie has an immense leap and unlike some of the other state players (Mullins for example) he plays fair.

Probably most skilled athlete going around.

Does he play club or just for Xav's ? Will he make the 1st 18 next year ?

Definately will.
Prob only about half a dozen Yr 10s will.
Rest of the team will be Yr 11s. About 14 played regular 1sts this year.

It's too early too tell which Under-15's will feature in the AFL draft in two years time.
But as we speak, there are two stand-out players in this age group : Seb Purcell and Hal Hunter.

overrated by a mile

Dylan Buckley- a friend of mine, hope he comes to carlton under the farther son rule.
Ricky Mullins- have played junior and school football against him, has been built like a man before he was even a teenager.
Sebastian Purcell- have versed him in athletics, freak at alot of things (hurdles, hockey to name a few off my head, along with footy ofcourse).
Tim Golds- i see him nearly every day, athletical wonder too.
Luke Volpe- played junior footy against him, good in and under midfielder.
Will Leveni- friend of a friend, david rodanish.

mate you can't say the only reason Purcell got in was cause of his Dad
i have played him in the APS and he is an absolute freak
does anyone no why he hasn't been playing this year. Also Will Leveini is a freak but Paine is over rated. Last two matches for MGS i have seen him play he has done nothing for the team. Also the person who said Nick Daish is good is a joke. The only thing he does is kick out from full back

Yeah mate i am a good mate of purcy and he has been doing hockey this year for school, he is also very good in that disciplane. yeah he will play footy next year, and probably play firsts, he'll play wing or off the half back for sure.

mate, i'll tell you what, i heard your name plenty of times and i saw you touch the ball probably 3 times, so what the hell are you doing saying that paine is shit, he made vic metro and you can't even touch the bloody ball more the 3 times in a game, so my advice is that you just shut down your account cause no offence you are horrible at footy..

yeah lev us st. kevs boys dont like the geelong boys either, we r with u guys, bring on year 10!

Yeah he plays for a club called the balwyn tigers in div 3 in yarra jfl, we beat them by 130 points in a prac match, he kills it in div 3
