Feel a little bad for Moicano, on one hand he may have never got a title shot ever so maybe this was a blessing but he was also never gonna be able to beat him on a days notice either and he likely never gets another shot now either.

Nope that's not how it works. Punch to the chin that sleeps someone shows no mark, barely stinging shot to the eyebrow can need stitches. Saying just looking at the face means anything is so far from the truth

And Merab looked good in the presser. Blood wiped away, there wasn't much damage. Three or four little cuts/grazes.
And true, certain spots on the face are easy to cut, others aren't.

Besides Arman, there's really only the winners of Gaethje/Hooker and Gamrot/Fiziev who would be legit opponents for him and line up timeline wise. Of those, I feel only Gamrot would be a real challenge (prime Gaethje would have been), but that's not an appetising match-up at all.

Age has caught up to the division, and 33 year old Islam likely wants to try his hand at a higher weight before the next wave comes.
