10.

10 of them made the allies squad: Brodie Foster, Brayden Crossley, Harry Simmington, Jacob Dawson, Bailey Scott, Sam Davidson, Damien Burke, Timakoi Bowie, Caleb Graham, Kwaby Boakye.
Only Brodie Foster and Sam Davidson will command 1st/2nd rounders at best for this year.

Well, considering the club are fast approaching the point where Spitta is not a priority for senior selection, and that the Swallow brothers have always been public in maintaining their wishes to play together, then that is feasible.

How valuable is McKenzie to us? He's a slowish 190cm flanker type, with his single point of difference being an elite skill.

Has Brad Scott ever exhibited the tactical flair to utilise a player like McKenzie? Nope.

Swallow is a rising 30 year old with a sound body and a fairly consistent level of output. The Suns have shown they are not presently completely averse to his type of player considering they placed Barlow on their books (30 in December) and he has now gone down with a busted leg.

If a cherry were required, then it wouldn't be much. Our 3rd round pick (~45) at best, and would this have any great value for the GC? Not really when you consider they already currently have 6 picks ahead of 45 (5,20,22,24,30,40).
We have swapped our 3rd pick this year with the Dogs for Hrovat.

I leave you blokes alone for a day and this manages to get 4 pages? We already know how well a slow, left-footed one trick pony goes in our side, and at least our McKenzie didn't have the sort of attitude problems this one is widely believed to have.

It's a no from me.

Doesn't have the attitude to play AFL football. Always been a lazy footballer who made it on talent rather than hard work and let it get to his head.

Won't ever have the drive to make it at AFL level - said this when everyone was frothing over him in his first season and it's come to fruition.

Picking him up even on the cheap would be a mistake.

I often wonder if the North bigfooty board has been overrun by a bunch of Goths.
"goths" became "emos" who became "hipsters"

your absence was long snake, get with the times, we are all hipsters now,
except for me as i cant grow a beard and have derauillers on my bikes.

We have one. He's called Daniel Nielson.

Yep. Nielsen, Durdin and VW playing 3rd fiddle.

Our KPD's are sweet for another 8-10 years.

Durdin and Neilson could end up being just another Joel Perry.

If we get McKenzie cheap, then there's a fair bit of upside there.

No there isn't. He won't make it at any club, it's would be a complete waste of a list spot.

Mate that'd be a lot better than our usual kick ins. At least it takes two kicks to get it back down there

Perhaps I'm over-simplifying things, but if you can get it to the middle of a ground and put everything into at least creating a stoppage, surely that has some benefit.

Out kick ins are torturous as a supporter.

The kick ins are torturous, you are absolutely right.

I'd prefer Durdin over Neilson just saying.
We need both and they are two different defenders. One takes the gorillas and will win the one vs. ones (nielson). The other use his athleticism and ability to read the play to out point the opposition (durdin). Both should work well together. Add in EVW. Sorted.
