We were talking about desperation. Not what we will get. Don’t have to have two firsts to make it a good trade.

If we can get Collingwood 2nd rounder. Throw that for baker and Richmond give something else back, then all is well.

Bolton can go to freo.
Nah thats not happening

your dreaming 2 dreams at the same time with getting overs and paying unders

go back to sleep and have a rest

Im a betting man
your not getting 2 x 1st rounders
Its hilarious seeing the stuff you write in these threads.

What do you think Rioli is worth in a trade?

Hes certainly not worth more in a trade than Barrass(Barrass is a better player and plays a more in-demand position despite being 18 months older), and theyre both similarly contracted

You want to bet

I have zero say in the outcome, personally I am walking away from two first for Barrass.

It’s not in our mid - long term best interest for our rebuild.

I’d offer eagles Our first 2024 and our future second an / or potentially a player not best 25.

If the eagles pass offer frosty a two year extension, develop McCabe and go to the draft.
Anymore than 13, we should walk. We don't need him that much especially given the improvement since we started talking to him, his back issues and since we need more class from the draft.

WC can keep a player who doesn't want to be there and delay their rebuild more with Tassie on the horizon.

Just take the younger version Luke Trainor

Yes you did thinking is some strange world Barrass gets the same or more trade than Daniel Rioli

Id love to take your money if you want to back up that statement
I didnt say Barrass gets the same or more in a trade, remember Rioli wants to go to Gold Coast who have no idea what picks are worth.
I said Rioli isnt worth more than Barrass, thats just a common sense statement thats in no way quantifiable so there'd be no way to settle the bet

Get onto Sam and tell him he's got NFI then.

In the land of footy fans, where opinions run wild,
THE_GUN thinks Tom Barrass is just a bit mild.
He claims in a trade, Rioli's worth more,
But mate, let’s break this down—let’s settle the score!

Tom’s a rock in defence, a wall made of stone,
While Rioli’s quick feet might dance on their own.
But can you compare a KPD defender, so grand,
To a flashy forward come defender, just playing in sand?

“Oh, Rioli can sprint!” THE_GUN starts to shout,
But when the game’s on the line, who do we count?
Barrass takes the marks, a true pillar of might,
While Rioli’s just dodging, hoping someone will bite.

Now, THE_GUN convinced he’s the trade whisperer,
But really, he's just a giant shit stirrer!
“Less value!” he yells, “What a terrible plight!”
Yet here’s the truth—he’s just lost in the fight.

So here’s to the KPD defenders, the unsung, the brave,
Who hold down the fort, their positions to save.
Let’s raise up a cheer for Barrass, curly haired champ,
While THE_GUN stuck here, fapping with cramp!

So next time you trade, dear footy fan friend,
Remember, it’s not just about flashy trends.
For in the great game, it’s skill that’s the sum,
And THE_GUN still wrong—And a giant pain in the bum!

Nice story but your talents are wasted here

story telling is a career option you should consider

Well, luckily for him WCE aren't holding him to the 3 years remaining on his contract, it seems.

Players want the security of long-term contracts, then want the ability to jump ship when a rival offers them more money.

Just because Essendon are paying a dumb amount of money to McKay to spud it up, doesn't mean all other KPDs should be on similar coin.

Still, if Hawthorn have made the overtures to Tom, the onus is on them to pony up.
Can you direct me to where it has been said that it was Hawthorn that engaged with Barrass and not Barrass’s manager that sort out Hawthorn!

Who the hell came up with the dumb arse phrase “ pony up”? Stick that pony no matter the player or deal where the sun don’t shine!
a man in a cowboy hat is holding a golf club in his hand on a golf course .

Not your "Happy Place" mate?

No Chance Barrass is going anywhere
  • No Club will give up a pick that would be a top 10 pick he is too old for a rebuilding side and the only teams would be teams that are in the window next 3 - years
  • Barrass is a WA boy that has a contract and wont want to unsettle and move
He just wants another $200k and the eagles will give him that.
‘No chance’
