Bright young woman knocked at our door. “Good morning, I’m your local member. Great news! We’re just about to reseal your street!”

Great news indeed. Except we were moving out, our removal truck was in the driveway being packed, and the people moving in were due to arrive with their truck in 2-3 hours.

The young lady’s face fell. But she did manage to reschedule the reseal until later in the day.

How was the street at the new house?

The road the the pinnacle etc was getting resealed first time in like 30-40 years ..

Happened again today in the NBA with Anthony 'don't touch him' David going to the free throw far more times than warranted.

The good news is the Lakers are still a crap team that always flame out in the play in tournament, but the principal remains they (along with Real Madrid and Liverpool) are the most looked after team in all of Global/World Wide Sports by the refs/officials

Australia is a secular country, but we're closer to acknowledging more religious holidays (unlikely with public holidays, boo) than scrapping the ones we already have. Christmas is far too valuable to the retail sector to be just another day and Boxing Day there's cricket to watch.

I would scrap Anzac and Australia Day's as well, if only to annoy the mouth breathing RWNJ cookers who use that day as an excuse to dress up like a Nazi/Patriot/White Supremacist and act like the bigoted tools they are.

I don’t need her to get injured, she keeps me fed . I just need to go a bit slower. I’m using the auger to create big holes to bury the doggy poops in. I had a massive pile in my mallee and 8 600mm holes later I still have a big pile haha, so much poo accumulated over 10 years

I agree with the caveat being dependent upon the circumstances ie the crime, history etc.

I don't understand in 2024 with all the evidence of police racism how you could think there was no racism involved In targeting Aboriginal kids specifically at an event that is trying to help them not get in trouble with the law
