Finally bought a new car, well it's a 2022 Camry but new to me. Expecting some material for the awkward flirting thread, I've told my wife it's a thirst trap "ooh he drives a Camry swoon" etc
You'll need to buy Libba's T shirt from him.

dont forget the box of tissues on the back window

Are used car prices coming down or are we still at peak-covid idiotic levels?

(deliberately not looking at my $10,000 2006 Camry Sportivo)
Toyota's are still 12-24 months behind on a lot of models to get new so second hand prices are still solid. Ive got a 2 year old one i could flip for a profit which is unheard of for vehicles

I drive a Camry too, they aren't chick magnet cars but they are super reliable and hold their value better than most other cars.

Toyotas in general are one of the best brands to buy for reliability and durability so are sought after on the second hand market.

Its the ultimate in alpha self confidence if you can flirt whilst in the drivers seat of a Camry.

I'd struggle to pull in a Maserati if I'm being honest.

That's basically why I did it, reliability and fuel economy, real thirst trap areas of course.

Thought only Uber drivers bought Camrys!

I've already copped that one ha ha

Another branch internationally. It would be doing what I am doing, but in another country.

I am still learning how to do my job in AUS, let alone throwing in regional/cultural differences into the mix. That said, they were very supportive of doing it

My advice, ****ing do it. Working and living in other countries is just the best. Opportunities like this don't come round often so I say take it and give it a massive crack.

I've worked in Singapore, Malaysia Hong Kong,, Saudi and UAE. All of them provided me with invaluable knowledge and life skills.

Singapore is on the list too. I'd love to go back

That's why its next to impossible to find a second hand hybrid Camry now.

When we were looking for a car (the Commode blew its fuel system apart and we needed a replacement NOW) we found two - one with only 110,000km on it - ex taxi in absolutely shit condition. 1,110,000 would be accurate. The other was in an upmarket dealers, someone had traded it in and the dealer refused to sell it (even though it had been advertised) because he used it to commute from Philip Island to Dandenong every day and the running costs were a third of his own car. We offered $2000 over the advertised price and he wouldn't budge.

Hence settling for the nearly-17yo one. :(
