ive been smashing Archetype at the gym
love that album, as good as Demanufacture i think even if Dino didnt play on it

i still buy cds and vinyl and refuse to spotify

I'd better give it a spin, geez you've pumped it up, Demanufacture is one of my GOAT albums, first album I liked that had the distorted vocals, game changer.
I watched a sit down with Brian May and Tony lommi and both openly admit they "borrow" bits from other guitarists. Toni was playing Paranoid and Brian joined in. Epic to watch. Pretty common practice i would think. I knew bringing Foo Fighters up on Bigfooty was fraught with danger. :tearsofjoy:

Particularly if you're blues based, it's quite formulaic in some ways and ripping people off is kind of what they all do.

John Frusciante from the Chili Peppers said he came up with the riff for Snow (Hey Oh) when playing around with a Hendrix riff.

I saw a vid of Phil Kollen from Def Leppard, he showed how he got one of their riffs (maybe Pour some Sugar on me) from "every breath you take". They don't sound similar but he showed the changes he made to it, was very interesting.

I've written a few songs, sometimes I think it sounds original until I send to a mate "geez that sounds a lot like Megadeth song" it's something you do unconsciously a lot of the time i reckon.

Ain't Cars super expensive over there.?

Yep. Massively.

However with the MRT and their bus services you'd be insane or incredibly wealthy to own one.

This was back in the day but the Mazda CX7 (not a pile of crap nor a show off vehicle) was over $120k......and that doesn't include taxes and whatever charges the Singapore Gov throw at you....and pretty much every road is tolled.

Pretty sure my brother went there and told me about the cars and how $$$$ they were.

I can't couldn't remember which country it was.
