Because they told him to push too hard in the first place. He had plenty of gap to second. He should have just cruised instead of setting multiple fastest laps.

How is this on McLaren?

Because they told them both to push and get fastest laps when they didn’t need to. . Oscar had plenty of gap to second. He could’ve just cruised along on the hard tires and made it to the end.

it is better to take a 2nd if you dont think the tyres can get to the end then have it pop on you at the end

And if they tell him that and he gets undercut you blame Mclaren for that as well. No one is to blame, it was just a brave call from Ferrari and a hell of a drive from Leclerc.
