It would be a lot easier if you folks trying to clutch your pearls with hysterical strawman arguments about "letting your daughter into a change room with a guy hanging dong!" just straight up admitted that you don't like trans people.
Here's the problem...you think you're always right (like teffy) and that you have the moral high ground on this subject.

And the answer to you is for the majority to bend to the will of the minority.

Come up with a solution rather than telling everybody else that they have to see things your way otherwise you're a transphobe, bigot etc.

It's not just my view. It's a view prevalent among the black community, and the LGBTIQA+ community.

Moreover, how stupid do you have to be to think that attempts at limiting or denying a demographic of people's freedoms is the right thing to do? There's never been an instance in human history where that's worked out in the long run.
Why did so many black people and minorities vote more heavily for Trump than before? Kinda kills your argument right there. Unless it is not a big issue to non-white voters.

Find a unique solution to a unique issue. Like gender neutral bathrooms which started a while ago here so should be happening elsewhere.

He’s becoming teffy like.

He is 100% teffywiko,
the guy can't help but try an interject his pet theory into every conversation,

then tars everyone with the same brush because there's no such thing as an individual opinion.
you think that, therefore you are this, Its not a normal conversation like I wonder how you got there, why do you think that. ok let me understand your reasoning.

what's the latest piece black people during segregation share the same lived experience as trans people, written by a white guy with a podcast.
its hilarious but actually kind of sad.

Define "so many".

In 2020, 11% of the total vote was Black voters. It fell 1% to 10% in 2024.

In 2020, 91% of Black voters voted for Biden.
In 2024, 84% of Black voters voted for Kamala.

Sure, it fell a little. But "so many"?

Meanwhile, 86% of LGBTQIA+ identifying voters supported Kamala as well.

I don't think my argument has been 'killed' at all.

1 in 5 black men voted for Trump. That's a lot. Latinos and minorities swung heavily to Trump. Trump got the highest vote share for young people in 20 years. So are 1 in 5 black men, 50% of Latinos, the majority of native Americans and 43% of voters 18-29 racist transphobes?

Transphobes are transphobes. Who they voted for doesn't definitively decide that.

If they voted for Trump because they liked his transphobic messaging, then yes.

But all I keep hearing from you and DesertRoo is that the thing that swung the election was cost of living?

Costs of living was huge. You were arguing equating trans rights with civil rights. Clearly black men, other non white voters and young voters disagree with you.

Except the overwhelming majority of black voters supported Kamala... but okay.

Also, as I had already said; it's black people equating trans rights with the civil rights movement.

Generalisation. Can't group all black people in one bucket.

Yes I’ve been telling you for years, the democrats bailed on the working class and the working class gave the middle finger to the democrats.

You can play identity politics as much as you like but until they come back to their roots they’ll keep losing elections.

And Americans are no different to Australians, we’ll do the same thing if we keep the current policies in place.

Yeah you've been saying it, and you've been wrong.

It was the Democrats who led the charge for Women's Suffrage.
It was the Democrats who led the Civil Right's movement.
It was the Democrats who ended segregation and Jim Crow laws.
It was the Democrats who led the repeals of anti-miscegenation laws.
It was the Democrats who led the charge for gay rights, including letting them serve in the military.
It was the Democrats who led the charge for marriage equality.

This notion that the Democrats haven't been consistent in pushing what you call "identity politics" is flat out nonsense, and shows how ignorant you are on the topic.

By the way? Republicans rallied hard against every single one of those things I listed, and used the type of excuses and justifications that you, ferball, Val, and Bojan like to use now against trans people.

Do you really believe the election was fought and lost over trans rights?

Is that the big take away for the Australian labor party?
