How can that be? You say Richmond 19 were bad because of poor oppo in the 2019 GF in GWS but it’s ok with 07 Geelong. Funny that. 🙄

Also the amount of people that say 09 was the best because it was against the best oppo is vast. Fadge has argued it with his last breath. Take it up with him.

In regards to “consensus” a dynasty team will always be considered better than a non-dynasty one. So yeah.
I'm sorry what? I didn't say Richmond in '19 was bad. I just said Geelong's recent flag years were better, because they were.

Talking about dynasty teams or whatever in a thread discussing individual premiership seasons is peak nuffy though so well done on that point - especially when you class 3 in 4 as a definitive dynasty and 3 in 5 as definitively not a dynasty :$

Nobody will think a team that didn’t go b2b is a dynasty sorry bro.

This gen of kids have already forgotten them.

Sure whatever helps you sleep at night but I digress, what does that have to do with the topic at hand? Why are you so intent on derailing the discussion?

Is anyone counting the covid years as actual premierships? especially 2020. Good entertainment with games every night but like a Wizard Cup or AFL X in peoples memories.

We literally talking about the discussion.

Maybe ask your mate why he thought posting a pic of spoons was relevant for this thread. Anyway I leave it.

Leaving Richmond aside Bombers 2000 is arguably the best. Geelong IN MY OPINION isn’t near it.

Winning a flag all away is the hardest flag ever won. It’s also in the tally.

People give props to interstate teams for winning flags because it’s difficult playing away at the MCG in the GF. This is even harder than that and by a long way.

Except that the teams that won 20 and 21 did it against other Victorian teams so were at no disadvantage.

You're allowed to have your opinion Falcon even if its purely based on emotions and goes strongly against the consensus :)

Yeah but Geelong could go through a season undefeated and win the flag by 200 points and you’d still say they’re shit. Some people just can’t hide their bias. Nothing to be ashamed of

Is there really?

Because I went back 9 pages and to the start of the season, and couldn't find it.

Can't have been much of a thread...
Was there a few years ago where all Pies fans did was complain about their injuries (remember "Pies have injuries"), but the main guys on the list were potatoes like Flynn Appleby and co. Absolute whingers of the highest order

Don't worry, we all remember it. Except Fadge, who has selective fadgnesia.

Was that in 2021, the year we finished 17th and was sandwiched between:
2018: Grand Final
2019: Preliminary Final
2020: Semi Final

2022: Preliminary Final
2023: Premiership

I thought it was just because we had fallen off a cliff and were headed for a decade of Carlton/Richmond like bottom 4 mediocrity?

So Geel 2022 at 21st melb 2021 at 30th

The other recent premiers all below x rich 2020 at ;#75

Does this underline that we are in a very equalised era. Conveniently forgetting there’s hot trash each year in bottom two or three?

I could you tell Fadge, but you’d forget anyway.

But your little list above doesn’t really help your arguments about Nick transforming the Pies. Looks like he just slotted in to a good team who had a bad season.

Thanks for playing.

You guys tie yourselves in knots making up the narratives about Collingwood, and Daicos.

I just state the facts.
